The Guest House Museum. The Guest House served as a show place for Union Lumber wood products. It was constructed from the finest old-growth redwood and Douglas fir and contained 67,000 board feet of lumber. Noteworthy are the ornate woodwork, decorative moldings, door and window trim, and the spool, spindle banisters of the staircase along with the stained glass windows above the stairway's first landing. Mary Morton Swales (Mazie). January 1935 to July 1953.

The Fort Bragg - Mendocino Coast Historical Society offers a regular docent led walk of Fort Bragg's historical business district. Learn about Fort Bragg's rich and historic commercial past. Hear how Fort Bragg's business district is actually located where the Fort Bragg military post was built, and how the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake destroyed much of the business district, and learn how the area has changed throughout Fort Bragg's history.
