For The Joy of All Nations

For The Joy of All Nations. Tuesday, June 10, 2014. It's June 10th. When I glanced at my phone this morning and saw June 10, it hit me how crazy it is that we are sitting in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, today. On June 10th of last year Patrick and Samuel and I were on a plane headed to Bratislava, Slovakia. We were calling our move "long-term." We wanted to raise our family there. But we never expected to be here in America today. In fact, by December we were back on a plane to America. My parents came to visit.

For The Joy of All Nations: He's not talking yet

http://www.forthejoyofallnations.blogspot.com/2012/12/hes-not-talking-yet.html

For The Joy of All Nations. Monday, December 3, 2012. He's not talking yet. I didn't think much of it at the time, but earlier this afternoon Samuel really surprised me. I've been enjoying watching him interact more with people and toys and the world around him. Sidenote: today at the grocery store, Samuel said "hi" to a woman walking by. She was so amazed and said, "Wow, he's talking at such a young age! What else can he say? Umm nothing. Sorry to disappoint you, but he's just making noise.). Next sprin...

For The Joy of All Nations: It is the night of our Dear Savior's birth (well, it was)

For The Joy of All Nations. Friday, December 28, 2012. It is the night of our Dear Savior's birth (well, it was). The annual first-night-of-Encounter chicken fingers. Someone got their little mouth on this before I took it away. And she gave me some great ideas/resources. Interview with Phil Vischer, the creator of Veggie Tales. He recently made a movie called “Buck Denver Asks, ‘Why Do We Call It Christmas? Definitely worth listening to. So here are Samuel’s 3 Christmas gifts. We are on staff with Cru, ...

For The Joy of All Nations. Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Another month of pictures. 31 weeks- after a long drive out to Missouri. We made it just in time to celebrate Jenny's high school graduation. 32 weeks- celebrating Regan and Sheila's wedding. And Patrick's birthday at a beautiful country church. Way out in middle of nowhere southern Missouri. 33 weeks- hanging out in downtown Greenville. With some precious Slovakia friends. 34 weeks- after a baby shower in Clemson we got ice cream. Next spring, we are...

For The Joy of All Nations. Tuesday, October 23, 2012. A very happy 3 months. Samuel and I had a little 3 month photo shoot today. While Daddy was gone. Happy 3 months to our boy! Sort of looks like a mug shot. We also went to prayer walk on campus today. And ran into all these friends! Samuel was clearly excited to see them. Saturday, October 20, 2012. This little boy is making this fall extra fun! This week we went to an apple orchard, and. We've also had on the schedule. Happy 2nd birthday, Caleb!

The Howards: September 2014

http://mattandkristenhoward.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

Lilypie - Third Birthday. Saturday, September 20, 2014. I guess we are making it a tradition now and taking an annual camping trip. Our camping buddies (the Baccus fam) moved away (insert sobbing), but I am so glad we. Have lots of friends that love to camp too. It's some work putting everything out (like I would know, Matt did everything), but here we are breaking in our little home for the night. We made smores for dessert. Fulton was a fan and Brynna loved the flashlights. Sweet friends! By noon we we...

Lilypie - Third Birthday. Saturday, June 28, 2014. The Last of the Beach Vacation. So maybe I get a little camera happy to have four blog posts on one trip to the beach. Oh well, it's memories people. Kiki and Pete had to leave Thursday and we were sad. We enjoyed the beach in their honor. We had dinner at Desoto's. It's not one of my favorites, but the family loves it. My meal was actually very good, so I had to suck it up and admit it. Take me to the outlets instead. Fulton enjoyed it though. Beach Vac...

Lilypie - Third Birthday. Wednesday, July 30, 2014. Take Me Out to the Ballgame. We had a great night last night. We met up with several couples from our small group at church and went to the Baron's game. We were able to get there early and save some areas for everyone. Fulton loved hanging out by the fence watching the players warm up. They were having a little baseball lesson. The Warrens. We love some sweet Chloe. She kept us entertained. And so good with the little kids. Tuesday, July 29, 2014.

The Howards: End of School Year

http://mattandkristenhoward.blogspot.com/2015/05/life-lately_16.html

Lilypie - Third Birthday. Saturday, May 16, 2015. End of School Year. I guess I am on a two week blogging plan lately and. Here I go catching up the last two weeks again. We decided to surprise daddy at school with a slushi. Fulton was so excited to see daddy at work. He even stood in the doorway going to the hall and told the kids to get to class. I think he was a little too comfortable. The next day we had water day at school. It had been a big week as the ice. Cream man came earlier that week too.

Lilypie - Third Birthday. Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Little Spring Break Beach Trip. It's Spring Break around here. Hooray! We decided to take a quick little trip to the beach with KK and Pop. And we sure missed Kiki and Pete. Friday morning KK, Fulton and I headed on down and the boys came after work that day. Enjoyed some music and good times. KK and Pop opted for the red beans and rice and said it was delish too. Fulton was content because there were bounce houses and food. These two had a blast! Sunday...

Lilypie - Third Birthday. Sunday, April 27, 2014. Sunny Days, Snuggles, and Savings. Fulton had a fun day at school Friday. They made homemade Popsicles and enjoyed the sun. Fulton loves sweet Madelyn and they enjoyed some snuggle time after their treat outside. She will be going to kindergarten next year and he is going to miss her like crazy. I had a pretty stressful week last week, so we celebrated surviving the week with pizza for dinner. We had Salvatore's and it was delish. So, I have always tried ...

The Howards: Life Lately

http://mattandkristenhoward.blogspot.com/2015/05/life-lately.html

Lilypie - Third Birthday. Sunday, May 3, 2015. Our days have been filled with sweet memories. Let's catch up. The weather is so great now and this little guy begged me to pull out the water table, so we did. We were soaked by the end of it, but he loved it. Friday of that week we got to meet Kiki for lunch. We found two really cool fountains while we were waiting and used all the change in my purse to entertain ourselves. Meanwhile this guy was living it up with the grandparents. He had a blast. Fulton h...

The Howards: March 2014

http://mattandkristenhoward.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html

Lilypie - Third Birthday. Friday, March 28, 2014. Sister had a birthday this week. We had a belated celebration last night with the fam. These two helped me cook dinner and bake a cake. However, Fulton did stick his finger in the side of the chocolate icing on the cake when I wasn't looking. He thought it was pretty good, so I considered him my taste tester. It was a gluten free cake so Pops could participate in the sugar indulgence. Happy Birthday Sister! Happy Birthday Aunt Kiki! Tuesday, March 25, 2014.

The Howards: November 2014

http://mattandkristenhoward.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

Lilypie - Third Birthday. Saturday, November 29, 2014. We have had a wonderful Thanksgiving week. We have been able to visit with friends, family, and enjoy time with each other. Wednesday we met Matt's family for lunch and I just realized I didn't take any pictures. We enjoyed a good visit and yummy breakfast with them. Keri and Steven were flying in late Thursday afternoon so we had Thanksgiving dinner at mom and dad's after their plane got in. Did I mention that I cooked the turkey this year? Last Thu...

http://mattandkristenhoward.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html

Lilypie - Third Birthday. Monday, May 25, 2015. We had a great Memorial Day Weekend. We are very blessed to enjoy the freedoms that we have because of the sacrifices of many. We just spent a four day weekend at the lake. Fulton and I went up last Thursday night with Mom and Dad and enjoyed an extra day. As soon as daddy arrived Friday, we went out for a boat ride. And then these two were off to fish. We enjoyed the rest of the night. Just relaxing and being with the family. Kiki and Pete enjoyed it too!

For The Journey – "…not all those who wander are lost."

8230;not all those who wander are lost. I Used to Run at Night. August 16, 2015. August 16, 2015. All it takes is Chels being out-of-town and me being home by myself for 48 hours for my brain to go all deep and introspective… So here’s what’s rattling around my head tonight. Would they immediately assume I’d never be successful? Would they crack a joke to their spouse about that “big guy” trying to lose weight? Would they see me six months from now and automatically assume I had given up? May 4, 2013.

Journey Forward

Monday, May 7, 2007. One week till take off. Well that's all for today- I'm really tired, as it is pretty late-. Tuesday, April 24, 2007. But the Lord is faithful! I am trying to enjoy the beautiful spring weather, but sometimes school work has to come first. I added up all of my assignments and by the end of next week I would have written about 50 pages of paper within a two week time span for various assignments! Wow that's pretty crazy, but I've enjoyed everything I'm studying so that really helps!

Tuesday, March 27, 2018. Die Cuttin's Divas Easter Challenge. Easter is this coming Sunday! Is anyone participating in an Easter Egg Hunt? I miss those days, when my children were little and we'd hide the eggs in the yard and watch them go on the hunt. So much fun :). We are getting in the Easter spirit this week, our challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas. I decided to move away from bunnies and chicks and go for a little bit more sophisticated card. I found this Lily card at the Silhouette store. And you ...
