Troyer Family: World turned upside down or is it just switched from one side to other?
http://troyerpe.blogspot.com/2015/02/world-turned-upside-down-or-is-it-just.html
Monday, February 9, 2015. World turned upside down or is it just switched from one side to other? Thank you everyone for your prayers. Isaiah gave us a few scares overseas, and we discovered what it’s like to have doctors tell you to move internationally as soon as possible. We are also thankful that Isaiah’s appointments were sped up. We were originally looking at an appointment with a gastroenterologist toward the end of February, but a cancellation allowed us to get in just last week. As unknown, and ...

Troyer Family: Day in the Mountains!
http://troyerpe.blogspot.com/2014/11/day-in-mountains.html
Sunday, November 16, 2014. Day in the Mountains! After three trips to the hospital for physicals, we decided to celebrate the completion with a day in the mountains! The physical checks were needed for the next visa. Isaiah started acting woozy at 15,000 feet, so we had to take him back down quickly. This was my first time to see a glacier close up. Faith to move mountains takes on new meaning when you see these monsters! Only the Creator could sculpt such beauty out of ordinary rock.

Troyer Family: Snow Day!
http://troyerpe.blogspot.com/2015/02/snow-day.html
Monday, February 2, 2015. Today, it was difficult to get out of our driveway, so we pretty much couldn't go anywhere. It was probably a good thing we didn't try going out. Rumor has it that the roads are irrepressibly snow blocked. Ok, the reality was not quite as interesting. Posted by Paul and Esther Troyer. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Troyer Family: Dogs Eat the Crumbs
http://troyerpe.blogspot.com/2014/10/dogs-eat-crumbs.html
Friday, October 3, 2014. Dogs Eat the Crumbs. We ate at this restaurant with the dogs keeping close watch. It reminded me of the woman's brave response to the seemingly cold words of our Master (Matt 15:27). May we hunger for Him and have the faith of that woman! This sign caught our attention at another place in town. This seems like a contradiction, and I would at first chalk it up to a bad translation. However, the rendering is accurate, so maybe there is an unknown story behind it. Dogs Eat the Crumbs.

Troyer Family: Surgery on May 21
http://troyerpe.blogspot.com/2015/04/surgery-on-may-21.html
Friday, April 17, 2015. Surgery on May 21. After two ER trips on two continents, seeing 20 doctors, and multiple tests, Isaiah will have surgery on May 21. We hoped for a sooner date, but it was difficult for three doctors to coordinate their schedules. One doctor will insert a g-tube, perform a nissin fundoplication (re-flux surgery), and correct a hietal hernia. Two other doctors will scope (examine) his airway and lungs. Thank you every one for your many prayers and support! Surgery on May 21.

http://troyerpe.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 23, 2014. Some friends and I did some volunteer English teaching at a middle school/high-school about seven hours from here. It was a lot of fun and very exhausting at the same time. It was about six hours of teaching each day along with about the whole school wanting a photograph! I felt like a celeb for a week. A couple of highlights for me were that a friend got a burden to go and teach there full time, and I was able to score my first soccer goal on this side of the globe!

Sunday, July 27, 2014. This picture was taken looking out of the 16th floor of our hotel room in Chengdu. Esther sewed all the shirts! We came to Chengdu mainly to get Menita a new passport (at the US consulate), but we also managed to turn the trip into a mini vacation. This city is bigger than I expected and boasts an array of interesting architecture. This one skyscraper appears to be flat, but it is actually a tight triangular structure.
