Pseudo Philosophy: June 2005
http://thepseudophilosopher.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.html
The examined life is worth living. Tuesday, June 28, 2005. Challenges for the second half of 2005. The first half of the year began with a period of solidarity in God's silence, as I struggled with issues that stemmed from 2004. Psalm 42 was the verse that God put in in my heart, in particularly "deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls". Looking back, I suppose I did not do an exceptionally good job in being relational to the people there, but neither did I do a bad job. I've come to realize th...

Pseudo Philosophy: January 2006
http://thepseudophilosopher.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html
The examined life is worth living. Monday, January 30, 2006. Yay, last week of january. let's see how i've scored as a self righteous pharisee for the month (just for fun). Finished bible reading for month of january 4 days before 31st Jan = 100. Made empty promises to 2 friends = - 50. To my unchurched buddy = 50. Fell asleep during service and pretended that I did not fall asleep when someone woke me up = -25. Slept late and woke up late and feeling crap for the rest of the day = - 70. Hmmm I dunno, it...

Pseudo Philosophy: September 2005
http://thepseudophilosopher.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
The examined life is worth living. Tuesday, September 20, 2005. I am not so much of a post modernist. To begin with, I do not know what it means. To the best of my knowledge, post modernity simply means:. A refutation of grand meta narratives" (Jimmy, 2005). In other words, it means that all the world's philosophies (meta narratives), that are concerned with seeking some form of truth, or in reaching a final utopian state, is a false conjecture. Is because it wants to get out of the whole theory paradigm.

Pseudo Philosophy: December 2005
http://thepseudophilosopher.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
The examined life is worth living. Sunday, December 25, 2005. What fires up your heart? What fires up your heart? If there are no peer pressures, 'society constructed norms' or 'biblically correct answers' to this question, what would be the answer? For quite a long period, perhaps 2 years or so, I thought that the thing that fired up my heart was serving in church. But as 2005 draws to a close, I begin to see things in a different light. Secondly, on whose 'expectations' am I really trying to meet?

Pseudo Philosophy: November 2005
http://thepseudophilosopher.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
The examined life is worth living. Wednesday, November 30, 2005. Its amazing how much i did in 45 mins from 815am to 9am:. 1) pack my bag for camp (and realize I haven wash my sleeping bag since sri lanka, in which it accumulated enuff dirt from cambodia already, and the sleeping bag is not mine to begin with). 2) update my friendster in which I haven log in close to a year. 5) read my photography book. But since grp leaders are suppose to meet at 9am, it means that i'll still be late.darn. Not so sure w...

Pseudo Philosophy: April 2005
http://thepseudophilosopher.blogspot.com/2005_04_01_archive.html
The examined life is worth living. Friday, April 29, 2005. We shall not be mastered by sin. Somehow, this verse captured my attention:. 1 Cor 6:18-20"Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.". Indeed, the discipline to sa...

Pseudo Philosophy: October 2005
http://thepseudophilosopher.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html
The examined life is worth living. Friday, October 28, 2005. It can only be the shortest day when I wake up at 130pm, go school, come back and sleep at 8pm. I need Dr Re-Wiring to rewire my bio clock. Thinking of doing an ism on ASEAN or EU foreign policy, ha ha.maybe that will help me put one foot into MFA, and then towards UN glory. *in dreamoland*. Need to push through this crappy weekend. No time to feel sorry for myself or anyone! Posted by astral @ 10:39 PM. Thursday, October 27, 2005. Ha so full o...

Pseudo Philosophy: May 2005

The examined life is worth living. Saturday, May 07, 2005. Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. Meanwhile, I do feel the need to keep my friend in prayer too. I might be wrong, but I think she is beginning to find a renewed strength in Jesus after a hiatus. I pray that she will keep that going i...Melan...
