Thoughts and reflections on daily life. Okay, I hate to not deliver on something I mentioned, but I'm just not going to get that next blog on community up this week. I've got it in the works, but it's not finished. With Mary's Blog Tour. Beginning next week and trying to find a better balance between my family and writing, I can't get to it. Sorry for the delay. But I'll at least leave you with some fireworks. Oh, a big one! As my daughter said). Bluebonnet in the snow". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

spaghettipie: Defining "Postmodern"
http://spaghettipie.blogspot.com/2007/07/defining-postmodern.html
Thoughts and reflections on daily life. What do you think of when you hear the word "postmodern"? For me, I figured it was the current descriptor of our culture, just as we had the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, the Modern World. But evidently, the word postmodern carries much more passion and controversy than I ever knew. By definition, postmodernism. Unfortunately, as a result many are quick to judge books and authors who espouse any postmodern ideals, quote anyone related to the emergent church movemen...

Thoughts and reflections on daily life. Just three days left until the big one. Or shall I say the big 3-0? But never fear. I'm not stressing over aging. I'm actually really excited about what this next decade may bring and what God will teach me. So look out thirty, HERE I COME! Photo: I am 30, hear me ROAR! Now, Craver. I said entering middle age. In my mind, if I break life into thirds, then I'm moving into the second 3rd of my life. On a side note, should someone your. You might hurt yourself. :).

spaghettipie: December 2006
http://spaghettipie.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Thoughts and reflections on daily life. No joke. The Queen of England delivered a podcast this year for her annual Christmas message. You can download it at http:/ clients.westminster-digital.co.uk/royal/podcast. In an article I read, it said that her grandchildren keep her up to date on current technology, but it could not be confirmed whether or not she actually owned an iPod. 2) Mary deserves a medal. I'm not saying I think she deserves an equal spot next to Jesus, but wow! What a woman. Every mot...

Thoughts and reflections on daily life. Reflecting in East Texas. I drove home this past Monday to visit my parents for a few days. Well, actually, I wasn't driving to my "home" growing up, but to my parents' new home in a nearby town. However, as M slept in the backseat, I reflected upon memories of high school and even college as I headed into the piney woods. (The trees have changed colors along the road, and are gorgeous! spaghettipie: On Shopping
http://spaghettipie.blogspot.com/2007/07/on-shopping.html
Thoughts and reflections on daily life. If you've seen my wardrobe, you know I haven't been shopping in a while. And it's been even longer since I've actually wandered around the mall from store to store, really. And the zipper didn't get stuck on any dresses (ahem, BJ. I got some amazing deals, and walked away with six new pairs of pants, four new shirts, one sweater and one dress for just over $150. But the best thing of all? I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates shopping! Bluebonnet in the snow".
