The London Rollergirls Recreational League is open to either beginner skaters who have passed their minimum skills all the way up to seasoned skaters who want a no-pressure, non-competitive, informal environment to enjoy our crazy sport of roller derby. The sport of Roller Derby consists of two teams of four defensive players and one jammer the point scorer. The game begins with the pivots and the blockers (defensive players) skating in front in a tight formation (the pack). Like any sport, Roller Derby has many fine print detailed rules, penalties and strategies! And obviously, the team with the most points at the end of the game wins!

Our ‘A’ team, who play against the top teams in the world and compete each year at the end of season playoffs to win a spot at Championships. Brawl Saints. Our ‘B’ team, are a dominant force in the UK and Europe; and Batter C Power. Our ‘C’ team, are the rising stars of LRG and compete with other A and B teams to climb the rankings table. All league members are eligible for the travel team, and skaters are chosen based on skill level, league participation, and attendance. Each squad is chosen for a three-month period.
