A Phoenix In Taiwan. Wednesday, July 23, 2008. Prep This Patient For Surgery! I have approximately three weeks until I leave, and everything seems to be falling into place. Mr Coleman has my blazer, and should soon be setting a date for me to be publicly "Blazered," as my friend Tiffany put it. I have all my paperwork for the trip. plane ticket confirmations, passport, visa, insurance policies, school information, etc. All in all, everything is coming together quite nicely! Thanks for reading,. In case y...

Maija In Bolivia: February 2009
http://maija-bolivia.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 27, 2009. Moving right along, I find myself completing over 6 months in Bolivia. 6 months! That’s half a year. Wow. According to my host mom, my experience in Bolivia is now complete. That’s right: I had Dengue. Dengue fever is an acute febril disease transmitted through mosquitoes. For a full 7 days, I experienced fever, headache, nausea, muscle aches, lethargy, and loss of appetite. Rolling over in bed left me breathing like I’d just run a marathon. For February, I entered into a class...

Maija In Bolivia: September 2008
http://maija-bolivia.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 18, 2008. I have been in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, for about a month now. My Spanish is definitely getting better! However, my host mom still introduces me as her daughter that SPEAKS Spanish, but doesn't UNDERSTAND Spanish. This is because the people here talk really fast, and my ears are still adjusting so that I can tell the difference between the start and end of words. I am getting better at it though! Above: On the way to Samaipata. the beautiful Bolivian countryside.

Maija In Bolivia: May 2009
http://maija-bolivia.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 18, 2009. I have now completed 9 months in Bolivia! Which means I only have 23 days left before I return to the U.S. on the 11th of June! I finally got a chance to go to el campo (the countryside) where my family has tons of cows! The weather here has started to become cold and rainy! There are still plenty of warm days, but there are several jacket-worthy ones as well. The weather changes have given me a stuffy/runny nose. It’s called “Historias de Vino, Singani y Alcoba.R...My return fli...

Journey to Poland: 27th
http://polskiadventure.blogspot.com/2008/08/27th.html
Wednesday, August 27, 2008. To be honest, I don't feel like writing right now. However, people keep on pressing me about doing so, so I am. And that's the honest truth. I guess some time has passed since I last wrote. For example, I went to Krakow Monday. The pictures are at http:/ www.facebook.com/album.php? I upload my pcitures to facebook because it doesn't take as long. When I upload them to flickr it uploads in the best quality and probably triples the time at least. September 23, 2008 at 11:49 PM.

Maija In Bolivia: December 2008
http://maija-bolivia.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 21, 2008. I am now at 4 months in Bolivia! Shortly after Thanksgiving, Enrique Iglesias came to Bolivia. With the cheapest ticket costing only $8, I figured it was something I had to see. So I purchased the $15 upgraded ticket, grabbed a few friends, and head to my first big-time concert. I had an amazing time singing “Bailamos! It wasn’t my only musical experience this month. My host family also took me to a cover band for Pink Floyd. It was awesome! Since Elva’s mother isn’...She also ...

A Phoenix In Taiwan. Friday, September 26, 2008. As I Try To Update More. Another update so soon! Today I had to perform shou yu, which is sign language, for the first time. Obviously I was nervous, but it was just for other people in the club, so it was fun. I must say that I am very satisfied with my club choice. The people are very friendly and pretty crazy sometimes, so we get along! Some of those boys can dance. I love playing around with them. Oh, and about the last post:. I might grow more=p.

A Phoenix In Taiwan. Tuesday, February 3, 2009. As Opposed to Christmas. A Wednsday, so we had all day culture class. They (meaning the University Staff) put on a mini-chinese opera for us. I regrettably didnt take any pictures, but it was bunches of funn. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). My Name's Phoenix Wyatt And I Am From Paris, Tennessee, U...
