Exiled New Zealander: 25 August 2010
http://exilednzer.blogspot.com/2010/08/25-august-2010.html
A Kiwi, far from home. Wednesday, 25 August 2010. Some progress today: I am going to be able to have a full time assistant again after all. HR is on the case and is following up with our chosen candidate, so with a bit of luck I will have somebody in the role again by the middle of September. Hurrah! Labels: life in the UK. Exiled New Zealander: 6 April 2010
http://exilednzer.blogspot.com/2010/04/6-april-2010.html
A Kiwi, far from home. Tuesday, 6 April 2010. Party people, I had such a nice Easter weekend. It was mostly uneventful, but it was splendid to loaf around and not be at work - last week, I think a fifth working day could have killed me. Tristan was away all day on Saturday, which gave me an opportunity to finish watching series two of Sex and the City. The sexual partner count from this series is:. Carrie: five (not counting Big, as she slept with him in series one). On the craft front I. There is nothin...

A Kiwi, far from home. Saturday, 28 August 2010. I've moved my blog to wordpress.com because it will look better on iPhones and because I'm sick of the photo posting problems at blogger.com. This site will remain as it is, without any further posts. Here's the new site: http:/ exilednzer.wordpress.com. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I'm a slacker who never keeps up a blog for long. Exiled New Zealander: 2 August 2010
http://exilednzer.blogspot.com/2010/08/2-august-2010.html
A Kiwi, far from home. Monday, 2 August 2010. So, I'm eating lunch at my desk and reading that Frugal Trenches blog that I mentioned in my last post. It's inspiring stuff, although this entry. Made me wonder whether the author was really a woman in her twenties and not a computer-generated character. She's got a level of emotional maturity that most people twice her age would kill to possess. But it felt very good to do something active again. Later on in the evening the two of them asked me how I was ge...

Exiled New Zealander: 24 August 2010
http://exilednzer.blogspot.com/2010/08/24-august-2010.html
A Kiwi, far from home. Tuesday, 24 August 2010. It's GCSE results day. And my colleague Susan is very happy: her son scored A* in all ten of his subjects. Even allowing for accusations of dumbing down and grade inflation, that's a great effort. She bought cakes for the whole department to celebrate, bless her. And then I got to go home to a really, really intelligent and really, really nice person as well, so I really have no cause to complain. But will that stop me? Last night we saw the film Salt.

A Kiwi, far from home. Friday, 27 August 2010. Long term readers may recalled that I finished some post-graduate study a couple of years ago. After my writing workshop. On a different topic entirely: blog reader Raker. Probably not her real name) has been fighting breast cancer this year, diagnosed not long after the birth of her second child. But she's had her last chemo session! Fantastic news, and let's all cross our fingers for her that this is the end of the breast-related dramas. A View From A Broad.

Exiled New Zealander: 27 March 2010
http://exilednzer.blogspot.com/2010/03/27-march-2010.html
A Kiwi, far from home. Saturday, 27 March 2010. This week I've been all about the long posts, so today I'm posting photos instead. And words as well, obviously. Tristan's suggested that I might want to buy myself a fancy-pants designer handbag and I've been contemplating the Mulberry Bayswater in chocolate brown. So I will keep thinking about the fancy-pants bag purchase for a while longer. So, that's a pictorial account of my past week! Of course that has more to do with the other things that Im attachi...
