I probably have a combination of snot, poop, ***, blood, vomit, bile, and saliva on this “clean” shirt that I just put on this morning. The beauty, however, is that if I spill anything on it – ever – (and I do mean anything) - I have four excuses. CSI would have a field day with my clothes. So, it was sad.

Foster's Fodder for Thought. Sunday, January 18, 2015. In our family, we don’t let our kids cuss. We’re pretty traditional. 8220;God” and “Jesus” are also forbidden unless referencing them properly. Tradition ends when the car doors shut (on some days). I have declared “car cussing” as a way for the kids to express themselves using whatever language they want without any reprisals. They ask for car cussing sometimes, but it’s only a special treat. And, we have a blast. Laughter is the best medicine.

I was an active Board Member for the Arizona, founding chapter. And, I worked hands on in helping grant children’s wishes. When I was in Washington, they released the papers of deceased (and first Black) Justice Thurgood Marshall. When they say “release,” they mean that they are under lock and key at the Library of Congress. Only Members of Congress and their staffs could go sneak a peek – for the first few months. So a friend and I took advantage. It was pretty interesting.
