Livet er Svalbard" Life at 78° North. Sunday, 19 January 2014. Together with the boys. My partner started with a new working plan after New Year. Now he's working two weeks in Svea and having after that two weeks free. That means that when he's working, I'm alone two weeks with our boys, with our little son and our black coated companion. But when a working period is over, is my partner also totally free for next two weeks. Tuesday, 7 January 2014. New clothes to Emperor. Friday, 3 January 2014. One lady...

Nattsnakk fra Longyearbyen: March 2013
http://nattsnakk.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Livet er Svalbard" Life at 78° North. Wednesday, 27 March 2013. Walk with the dog. Sometimes it's nice to have a walk with the dog in different places, just not beside the town. Our dog has needed to learn all kind of things, just for that he has possibility to follow us. Sitting on the scooter isn't his favourites, but on that way we can have a walk with him little bit outside the town. From Hiorthhamn it's nice to start to walk upward and enjoy the view to the town. Tuesday, 19 March 2013. It's always ...

Nattsnakk fra Longyearbyen: October 2013
http://nattsnakk.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Livet er Svalbard" Life at 78° North. Tuesday, 22 October 2013. Peek to the darkness. It's still coming light at the day time, but the beautiful full moon gave us a nice peek to the coming polar night. Earlier the coming time of total darkness was something unrealistic, something very distant. But having some walks with the dog out on the light of the full moon gave a feeling about the coming time. Now I'm almost waiting forward for the months in darkness. Friday, 18 October 2013. Has just left Svea....

Nattsnakk fra Longyearbyen: New home
http://nattsnakk.blogspot.com/2014/01/new-home.html
Livet er Svalbard" Life at 78° North. Thursday, 2 January 2014. We were planning to move to a new apartment before I was supposed to fly to Tromsø for to wait our sons delivery. We were thinking that it would be so nice to come back to a new apartment with the newborn. But things don't go always as planned. We managed to move half of our things to the new apartment when water suddenly broke and I was send with an ambulance flight to Tromsø. Everything just needed to be left as it was. I came to Svalbard ...

Nattsnakk fra Longyearbyen: May 2013
http://nattsnakk.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Livet er Svalbard" Life at 78° North. Friday, 24 May 2013. Norwegians are celebrating their National Day at 17. mai. That's a big day with parades and celebrations and it's spesially a big day for children with lot of activities. We didn't really have a nice weather for celebration in Longyearbyen. It was snowing and blowing and even the dog find it best to stay on the lee-side of his snowhill. Friday, 17 May 2013. We are out of the house every other week while we're working in Svea. After cut I measured...

Mandag 31. desember 2007. It´s my Dad´s birthday today! And Charlie´s birthday! Gratulerer to them too! It seems new year´s eve is a popular day to be born (I bet among polar bears too). And a Happy New Year. Søndag 30. desember 2007. The Frozen Family goes to Barentsburg. Yesterday, the Frozen Family drove all the way to Barentsburg and back on their 2 snowmobiles/snowscooters (and I, as the only one, overturned only once). The temperature was -25C and it was pitch black. In the darkness it was difficul...

topofworld: That´s it - we´re back
http://top-of-world.blogspot.com/2008/07/thats-it-were-back.html
Søndag 13. juli 2008. That´s it - we´re back. This is my final blog entry, and it feels weird. Getting back to our house was nice. I´d forgotten how much I like it. Also I like the area that we live in. Our house is in the red circle (I bet you´d figured out that already! Meeting my family was nice too, and the cat. Tobias the cat. Behaved as we´d hardly been away, isn´t that amazing? And just as I suspected, it didn´t feel long at all. Maybe u can write here every time when you remember Svalbard? I wish...
