happy chatter: January 2007
http://happychatter.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 30, 2007. I'm on a roll now - really getting into this 'love Tasmania' thing! On the day I discovered a host of bike tracks I also discovered a small market. It's held every Saturday in a little square in the centre of town. and because I never visit this square I never knew about the market. Admittedly it was a small market with just a couple of stalls, but as I was entering and exiting a shop, the proprietor of one of the stalls called out a cheery 'hello, how are you? As I went out!

Saturday, March 31, 2007. I've always been rather dubious about the health benefits of breakfast cereals, a state of mind brought about by high school home science classes I'm sure. (do you know how much salt is hidden away in a packet of cornflakes? As a rule I stick with Weet-Bix. Low fat, low sugar, high fibre and all those other good things. That is, I stick with Weet-Bix when I'm not having a toast mood, and then I munch on soy and linseed bread spread with yummy Vegemite. Immediately upon arriving ...

Monday, April 30, 2007. The great thing in this world. Is not so much where you stand,. As in what direction you are moving. Tonight I'm not standing even close to where I desire to be. But I'm moving there. That's got to be positive. Posted by cecily @ 10:19 pm. Links to this post. Sometimes I bristle my way through life, overreacting to anything and everything, immediately jumping to my own defence, cutting a swath through anyone who dares to disagree with my most excellent opinions. A we-consciousness...
happy chatter: August 2006
http://happychatter.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 30, 2006. If this blog is anything to go by, spring is taking forever to arrive! I've written about daffodils, increasing length of days, and now spring blossom! Not only will I be glad when spring comes, but so will all of you - then I'll be able to move on to writing about summer! It really is beautiful here at the moment though. All over the city the trees are covered in blossoms. Just driving down the street is breathtaking. Posted by cecily @ 3:16 pm. Links to this post. Experiment...
happy chatter: October 2006
http://happychatter.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 31, 2006. I've had a headache since Saturday morning. Not a big thumper - just there when I wake up, there all day and there when I fall asleep. Not bad enough to take panadol, but intruding on my thought processes none-the-less. (Which partly explains a blog-free week. The other part of the explanation is extreme busyness that left no time for ruminating). Hmmm, what is the cause of this rumbling pain that roles around inside my brain? I need a holiday! happy chatter: February 2007

Tuesday, February 27, 2007. Too good not to link. I haven't laughed so hard in ages! Lucidiocy left a comment today, and when I traced my way back to her blog I found this story. So if you need a lift, I heartily recommend the most embarrassing moment I've ever heard of! Posted by cecily @ 9:50 pm. Links to this post. Two sets of rules for me please! My problem yesterday was not with wind, rain or pilonidal sinuses - it was the traffic. So I face something of a dilemma. Where can I ride? My solution yest...

Friday, September 29, 2006. Personally I dislike convenience food. I would rather walk home in the rain without a coat than resort to cooking from packets and jars. OK, maybe that was an exaggeration, but it conveys my abhorence of plastic food - I like cooking from scratch with wholesome, real ingredients. (I come from a long line of supercooks, so I have a lot to live up to). Yeah I know. Those cute, cuddly little wallabies. how could we even consider eating them? Casalinga' here I come for ready-made ...

Friday, December 29, 2006. Remember the car wash? Oh yeah. the car wash. I nearly forgot! Well, this morning it looked like rain and I didn't want the car looking spic and span to then be rained on did I? Then Frank went out this afternoon, taking the car with him, so there was just no way I could wash it. Would that be OK? Posted by cecily @ 10:57 pm. Links to this post. Plastic food takes on new meaning. The FDA of the USA has approved cloned beef and milk for human consumption. Links to this post.
happy chatter: November 2006
http://happychatter.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 30, 2006. As of today I'm going to make a stand - no more pollution. No, I'm not talking about the end of NaBloPoMo and the sometimes cyber polluting twaddle I have peddled for thirty days. That will. End, today even, but I'm talking about something far more serious. No more the lackadaisical attitude. Plonk another industry right beside it and the pollution may be doubled. Or more than doubled. In my backyard, effecting the people I love. No more pollution I say. Links to this post.

Sunday, July 30, 2006. Oh my goodness. as if you didn't have enough to read without me adding another. BUT I have just produced my first ever webpage. yes, that's right. My VERY OWN webpage! Not that it's anything great (it reads like this "This is my first homepage. I am learning what to do. I've never done anything like this before. And I have no idea how to upload it to the internet so you can view the marvel, but there it is, on my computer screen. A marvel indeed! Sorry Frank - no tea tonight! Howev...

I'm mostly mathy, but also write a bible study and try to study on faith matters, too. I share bible studies at ghbiblestudy.blogspot.com. December 6, 2017. Mystical experiences are difficult to capture and describe with words. Mystical experiences are fleeting and short-lived. Mystical experience happen to us. They act on us. We receive or surrender to them. They interrupt us. We feel, in the words of James, “grasped and held by a superior power.”. By William James, via Richard Beck. April 17, 2017.

Vernacular Photographs Day by Day. I collect old photographs. When I see a family album in a box at a flea market, or random discarded photos in a bin at an antique store I feel the need to save the people/photograph from being forgotten forever. Who knew the holidays would suck with a kid in foster care? Oh that’s right. I did. Seeing as I used to be a social worker for kids in foster care, and used to spend much time preparing other foster parents for this…. So I guess, who knew I would forget everything i knew when it came to my own house? That Jolly Time of Year. Christmas acti...
