July | 2009 | A Walk in the Woods
https://middlesexfells.wordpress.com/2009/07
A Walk in the Woods. July 16, 2009. A pond at Upton State Forest. Yesterday I was able to visit Upton State Forest in central Massachusetts. It is a 2000 acre forest that is mainly forest. There are many trails and it was a pretty nice place. The woods appeared to all be secondary forest although the 3 1/2 hours I spent there did not allow me to cover the entire park. Butterfly | A Walk in the Woods
https://middlesexfells.wordpress.com/2009/09/05/butterfly
A Walk in the Woods. September 5, 2009. A field of flowers. I had a nice walk the other day that led me to a field of wonderful flowers. Just as pretty as the flowers were the many lovely butterflies that were flitting about. I don’t know if the field was planted to yield the bounty of flowers, or if this was a plan to favor butterfly sightings, but it sure was having that outcome. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
