I spent Thanksgiving weekend and my 33rd birthday sanding the floors of my home. My dad and i knocked out this project in a scant three days for about $400 total. now i have a house that has hardwood floors throughout. it’s gratifying that this project will only add value to my home in the long run. Here in northeast, we have already had a doozy of a winter. yesterday was a snow day for me and so i spent part of it working on the dresser that will become my kitchen island:. I drove to New Jersey last week and picked up the dresser for $40. i went to the best hardware store. It’s sort of amazing how being broke can make you incredibly creative and resourceful.
