Liz and Steven: February 2014

Tuesday, February 11, 2014. It's a wonderful (winter) life! Wow, so much has happened these last three months that it's hard to decide where to begin! I have to start by at least recognizing how amazing all of our friends and family are. We have been so fortunate these last few months to be able to spend so much time with family, both locally and afar; our only complaint is that we wish we had more time to see even more. Especially now, with the new addition on her way! The doctor was extremely. Cat, gir...

Liz and Steven: December 2012

Sunday, December 9, 2012. What a fantastic weekend! Besides the purely awesome fact that Steph stayed with us all weekend, there were so many exciting things that took place! Friday night, April came over to make the four and a half of us a fabulous dinner. There's just something about having dinner made by someone trained in the culinary arts that reminds you how awesome food can really be! It was a great night with great conversation, as always. Thursday, October 25, 2012. Our little Lily bug has had some big, big days lately! When something as amazing and wonderful as bringing a new person into this world, it's only logical to want everyone in your life to meet said person! Over the last few weeks, Lily has done just that! Sunday was short-lived since they had to fly back to Denver, but we cherished every moment together! Seeing my brother with my little angel just warmed my heart like no other. While she was here, Mema got to catch up with som...

Tuesday, March 25, 2014. A Baby Story - Round 2. As I enjoy my time at home today, it is still hard to believe that our little ten-day-old baby girl wasn't even supposed to arrive until today. It's so funny how life works out and that regardless of how much planning and control we hope to have over a situation, it is completely and entirely in God's hands. It all started on the best day of the year for math teachers: Friday, March 14 aka Pi Day! So many things are somewhat humorous, looking back.) Af...

Tuesday, July 31, 2012. So long, sweet summer. It's hard to believe, and it almost pains me to say, that my eight week summer is officially over. I started back to work yesterday, with contract work days this week and students coming in next week. Although we're of course bummed about summer wrapping up, we are both extremely pleased with everything we've accomplished and done over the last eight weeks. Here's a recap:. The entire project only cost $6 because I got a frame from Goodwill, ribbon from Wal-...
