All alone, freshly turned 18, a million thoughts racing through my mind, plane ticket in my hand and the knowledge that I wouldn’t see home for another nine months pressing onto my heart. That was how my first ‘outreach adventure’ began. So why was I fresh out of high school now all alone, out of my depth, clearly unprepared flying to a foreign country with nothing more than my passport, luggage and Bible to keep me company.
