Tuesday, 20 January 2015. The Long Journey Home. December 30, 2014. We woke up and took things a bit easy as our flight out isn't until 1:00 pm We went in to Christchurch for breakfast at Vic's Cafe. We had wanted to go when we were here over Christmas, but it was closed. We had a nice relaxing breakfast, but I must say it did not compare to the one we had at Vudu Cafe in Queenstown. Unfortunately we had forgotten to pack the Tylenol PM, so David and I didn't sleep at all! We got through customs really e...

FourFirths: Maori Cultural Experience

http://fourfirths.blogspot.com/2015/01/maori-cultural-experience.html

Thursday, 8 January 2015. December 18, 2014 - Part 2. It only took an hour to get to Rotorua, which is southeast of Hobbiton. We have a little one bedroom place here and there is a twin bed and pull out sofa in the living room, so the kids are sleeping out there. The evening starts with these Maori warriors coming out and greeting us. At first they look pretty scary. Then they do a few culturally significant dances and finally welcome us into their home. We walk through this tunnel to get into the village.

FourFirths: Christmas in Christchurch

http://fourfirths.blogspot.com/2015/01/christmas-in-christchurch.html

Thursday, 15 January 2015. December 25, 2014. It is so weird to wake up on Christmas morning and be in a strange place with no Christmas Tree or any special things from home. We set out the chocolates as presents for each other, but that was the extent of it. We let the kids sleep in, so I decided to use the time to type in some notes from yesterday so that I will have them for the blog when we get home. Danika got up and looked so cute cuddled in her blanket! While we put another load of laundry in, we ...

FourFirths: Hobbiton

http://fourfirths.blogspot.com/2015/01/hobbiton.html

Wednesday, 7 January 2015. December 18, 2014 - Part 1. We left the city at 9:00 am and it was a lovely 2 hour drive. It was so nice to be out of the city and surrounded by greenery. The New Zealand countryside is absolutely gorgeous! It rained most of the drive although the sun did peek through once or twice. I was a bit worried that it would be pouring down rain the entire time we were visiting Hobbiton. There were signposts to lead you in the right direction, East Farthing and West Farthing. Looking ac...

FourFirths: The Auckland Aquarium

http://fourfirths.blogspot.com/2015/01/the-auckland-aquarium.html

Tuesday, 6 January 2015. December 17, 2014. When we arrived at the aquarium, we were sheltered from the wind and it was a nice temperature outside, so we sat outside and had lunch overlooking the water with a view of Auckland in the background. It was nice to get out of the wind and rain and go into the aquarium. We really enjoyed walking around and looking at everything. Our first stop was the penguins. They were so cute and several kept swimming right up to greet us. I have to say, they didn't look sca...

A man so special, they named him four times! My name is Nicholas Charles Francis Scott (just call me Nick) and I'm a graphic designer / web designer / developer / illustrator / more and more. Four Firsts | A website for families of quadruplets!

A website for families of quadruplets! Welcome to our Website! That is why we call ourselves Four Firsts, because everything that we experience as first-time parents, we are doing four times! It’s Always Hard. We often think back to our first year with our first four babies. It was hard. There was so much scrimping and saving. I could never count how many diapers I changed, bottles I washed, and how few showers I took. I could probably count the hours I slept per week on just one hand! What is 6 12?
