Monday, July 13, 2009. Would not want to be inside then. That's not a big deal though, really. In HK I once looked at renting an apt that was on the 65th floor. High altitude living space is common in Asia, and not expensive. I'd payed five bucks to go 420 kph! I wanted my money back but it wasn't going to happen so I exited the train, changed my ticket and waited for my plane back to Hong Kong. Time to see my wife and boys again. Time to sit on my chocolate suede couch and take a nap.

Within 90 minutes from here, by train or car, are the capital cities of nearly 20 of China's dynasties. It is home to China's largest bus, truck, and tractor manufacturing plants, as well as of China's largest frozen food processing plants. The produce textiles here, wheat, and several kinds of local food not frequently seen much outside of this province. But has it ever been there, I wonder?
