Focusing Optics X-ray Solar Imager. FOXSI’s first flight took place on November 2, 2012, launching at 11:55 am, Mountain Standard time, from the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. The payload reached an apogee of 340 km and performed 6.5 minutes of observation above an altitude of 150 km. Both the flight and the recovery of the payload were successful!
