リコンフィギャラブルシステムは，問題の解法アルゴリズムをハードウェア化してユーザが書き換え可能なデバイス上で直接実行することにより，高い性能と柔軟性を実現するシステムです 従来のコンピュータにおいて蓄積されたソフトウェア技術，ハードウェア技術の単純な延長上にあるだけでなく，それを含有する大きな枠組みを形作っています よってリコンフィギャラブルシステムの実現には，アーキテクチャ，デバイス，設計技術， CAD，システム技術，並列処理，アプリケーションなど，基礎と実用の両領域を含む多面的な研究を推進していくことが重要となります 本研究会は，定期的に研究会を開催することにより，関連する研究者に広く技術交換の機会を提供し，産業界と大学等の研究機関の交流の機会を増やすことにより，関連する技術の発展を促進することを図るため，2003年，電子情報通信学会コンピュータシステム研究専門委員会所属第2種研究会として発足しました 2005年からは第1種研究会としての活動をスタートしています. IEICE RECONF/CPSY/VLD、IPSJ SLDM と併催。
