Child raising responsibilities bought a halt to her art until two years ago when she studied Water Color at the Castlemaine Community Centre. Julia Jones loved art as a teenager and spent hours copying and sketching. Then when her children were little she did art projects with them. However, it was not until sixteen years ago that she began doing oil painting under the tuition of an artistic neighbor. Being introduced to sculpture has been a bonus for Julia and she has loved working on landscapes.
