how beautiful are the feet: CC Enrichment Weeks 1-6
http://karaguffey.blogspot.com/2013/08/cc-enrichment-weeks-1-6.html
About Me and This Blog. Saturday, August 31, 2013. CC Enrichment Weeks 1-6. My approach to education is very much stick in the sand. With my kiddo only being in 1st grade my main focus is on writing, reading and math. But I do believe in the classical method of education and Classical Conversations model of education. I love using CC's memory work as a skeleton for all the other subjects and getting to put the "meat" on the skeleton as I see fit. Geography - Sidewalk chalk world, race to the place game.

About Me and This Blog. Saturday, January 04, 2014. Seriously, they make me happy. However we own some amazing books that I cannot find the time to read. This year for Christmas I limited myself to these books because I knew I would read them and I have wanted them for awhile. I have been wanting to read Fit to Burst. Since it was released, I loved Loving the Little Years. I have read various reviews about Extravagant Grace. Educating the WholeHearted Child. One book not pictured because I haven't receiv...

http://scottkristababywilliams.blogspot.com/2012/03/potty-party_04.html
Scott Krista Sienna Sylvia. Sunday, March 04, 2012. Since Thursday, we've been having a potty party at our house. Sienna woke up on Thursday morning, and she said, 'I'm ready for my potty party! We'd been talking up the idea of saying goodbye to her diapers and using the big girl potty all the time, and I guess she just knew Thursday was the day! So, we rounded up all the treats in our house, set them out on display for motivation, and started potty training. She did great! Her favorite treats are. So, s...

Scott Krista Sienna Sylvia. Sunday, December 18, 2011. The Paci Fairy visited the Williams household this past Friday night. We've been talking up the Paci Fairy story to Sienna for a couple weeks. It goes something like this. You don't need your pacis anymore because you're a big girl! The Paci Fairy is going to come to our house and give your pacis to a baby that needs them. In exchange for your pacis, the Paci Fairy will leave you a present! I no need my pacis! She was thrilled, and I cried! Paci down...

baby makes four: Exciting!
http://scottkristababywilliams.blogspot.com/2012/02/exciting.html
Scott Krista Sienna Sylvia. Tuesday, February 21, 2012. There was a lot of anxiousness and excitement going around our household this Valentine's Day. First, Sienna was absolutely THRILLED that she got to have extra sugary treats and a Valentine's Day party. I think her favorite Valentine's treat was from Scott. He gave her a Little Mermaid valentine that had a pink sucker attached; you would've thought she won the lottery! Sienna is going to have a little sister! We couldn't be more excited! She proceed...

About Me and This Blog. Friday, August 06, 2010. I have been looking forward to writing a series of posts on what we are doing at home for weeks but we have been swamped here with life! Enough rambling, what I am wanting to share with you today is what we are using for manipulatives and how it can be done on the cheap! All I had to buy was thumbtacks, I got the wood/paint from my parents), and the Melissa and Doug Pattern Blocks and Boards (which I got for 12.99 from TJ Maxx with Birthday Money, regu...

Delightful Surprises: August 2012
http://delightfulsurprises.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 23, 2012. Inspiring new kinds of thieves! One thing I always try to do is to get sooooo excited about reading in my class that it's almost like I'm a kid at the entrance of Disney Land! Or Sophia Grace meeting Nicki Minaj. For the first time! Part of the excitement is reading aloud to them the way my elementary teachers used to read to me.using VOICES! Yes, I remember Ms. Manuel and Ms. Smith! And even my college professor Janet Juhlin reading Chrysanthemum. It is such a fun book! Intell...
