I successfully navigated the shower area and found my way to the pool, at which point I had the following conversation, (translated liberally). Lifeguard: "Hey, you sir, you can't swim with those shorts". Me: "With these shorts? Lifeguard: "Yes, you need a swimsuit". Me: "But this is a swimsuit, look it's got a lining.". Lifeguard: "No, you need a skintight suit". Me: "A skintight suit?

Thursday, July 24, 2008. Le pont des arts. Originally uploaded by david stirling. I was afraid to talk to this painter at first, because he seemed like a crusty grumpy Frenchman. But in fact, he's a really nice guy. While he was working on this piece, he invited a couple little girls over to have their picture taken. Helping him paint.
