I think it looks great, the wood looks distressed just like a Pottery Barn dining table I've had my eye on for the past month. Plus the door has a secret. but you have to come see it in person! Bribery at its finest). While I thought the door reminded me of Pottery Barn. it gave our construction manager a different vibe. Roy got an email from him today.

Rambling of a semi-fit, semi-creative, crazy loving mama. Friday, July 22, 2011. Roy has been in search of a hobby ever since he's graduated from school. (all of a sudden there's so much free time! We were so lucky when we moved into the house that he found a hobby less than 50 feet from our front door. Yup, right bedside our street is a lake. which Roy has recently discovered is full of fish! And the occasional alligator - as shown in the picture). Every once in awhile, I get in on the fun too!

Spending so much time on the couch today has made me think of several things. 1 I need to start hanging more stuff on the walls. 2 This couch is uncomfortable. This week I was offered the opportunity for dinner with my in-laws at a traditional French restaurant here in Houston, Bistro Le Cep. I immediately jumped at the chance to experience authentic French food (as while vacationing in France, due to budget constraints, I was only lucky enough to sample the bread, water, and phenomenal crepes that the amazing country had to offer). We've been so busy with work and getting ready for Christmas (and Roy's Birthday on the 26th) that I haven't had much time to blog. So, for now enjoy some pictures of our first Christmas in the new house. The front door wreath was the first decoration to go up. A closer look at our new friend. He was too cute to not put outside!
