Every Little Thing She Does. A daughter, a sister, a teacher, a friend, a fiance, a child of God. Thursday, October 16, 2008. Where in the World Has Abby Been? I know I have been very absent lately from the blogging world, so I thought I would take this rare moment of free time and post one BIG update on what's been going on. I get to spend time with these sweet faces. A Little Fair Oaks Fun. With my Muffin and Toni. On a Hemingway's night. With our F. Oaks Scarecrows. Midway through September, Bryan and...

Spanns on the Run: June 2011
http://spannsontherun.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 26, 2011. The Smyrna Zoo had an unwelcome visitor this past week. On Tuesday, Bryan and I were hanging out when we noticed pieces of wood coming out from under the coat closet in our living room. We opened the door and couldn't see anything except for MORE wood chips and pieces. At least 1 inch of the door. gone! Are you kidding me? Surely you mean NOW. Nope, they came Thursday. And so there was a definite "barricade" (read: recycling bin) in front of the door until the Arrow man came. Back ...

Every Little Thing She Does. A daughter, a sister, a teacher, a friend, a fiance, a child of God. Friday, June 27, 2008. Things that Make Me Proud to be a Boone. My Aunt Tanna emailed me last night with the latest article on The Francis Grist Mill. Aunt Tanna has worked tirelessly to restore this beautiful piece of our family's history. The mill is located (literally) right in front of my Mimi's (and now Aunt Tanna's) house. The Mill in Spring. The following article comes straight from Haywood County News.

Wherever we go, laughter will be: September 2009
http://primuspair.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Wherever we go, laughter will be. Sunday, September 27, 2009. JP and I were talking today about the stuff we need to get done before the upcoming weekend. On the "To-Do" list: laundry, clean house, laundry, weed-eat the yard, laundry, pack our suitcases, laundry, hang curtains and pictures, and did I say laundry? Anyway, he decided he wanted to go play basketball with some friends this afternoon. Our conversation on his way out the door:. JP-"I bet you won't weed-eat the yard.". K-"What if I do? This wee...

BITTEN BY THE MILL BUG — celiamiles.com

BITTEN BY THE MILL BUG. BITTEN BY THE MILL BUG. We don’t own a mill; I hardly understand the intricacies of the grinding process (though I’ve seen it dozens of times and read about it by the gross). But I head for any mill I hear about as unerring as water flowing through a sluice. When people ask: Why the interest in old mills? I fumble for an answer and can’t satisfy even myself. Maybe two reasons account for the mill bug’s bite. Got involved in other things for the next twenty years or so, but never p...
