Monday, December 28, 2009. This morning Bill and I had the walk through with the electrician, Pat and contractor, Alan to discuss the electrical requirements for the building. I started snapping photos as we were moving through the building and thought I would feature interior shots on this post. Here is another peek at the space. http://pearlsplayhouse.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 19, 2010. It's in the Details. House numbers will help the pizza delivery guy a lot! And that will make Bill happy! This shot displays the deck railing and the full length of the rain chain. With the deck railing in place we can now hang out there and not worry that Pearl will go flying over the edge when she sees a flock quail or a deer. It has been raining hard! Here is a close up of the rain chain in action. It really is one of the nicest features on the house. I was turned on to the...

Pearl's Play House: March 2010
http://pearlsplayhouse.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 27, 2010. Things are changing fast. Our entry area is receiving a porch to keep the weather off the door and to eventually connect the garage to the house. Another perspective from the west. This is a view of the siding from the alley. You can also see the utilities. The units for the ductless heat pumps are under the window. The pool room has received stucco this week. The color "beach" was selected for the south, west and northern walls. Basically the walls with windows. Jeff is the pai...

Pearl's Play House: 9 Months to Build, 1 Day to Teardown
http://pearlsplayhouse.blogspot.com/2010/11/9-months-to-build-1-day-to-teardown.html
Tuesday, November 23, 2010. 9 Months to Build, 1 Day to Teardown. Here is a photo of the old house as I left for work on Monday morning. Who would have guessed that it would take 9 months to build a carriage house and only 1 day to tear down the old house. This adventure became weather dependent. With the snow on the ground Monday, Aaron called to say that he would start on Tuesday since they would not be delivering the first skiff until Monday afternoon. It is starting to really disappear.

We are in the final days before the old house is going away. We have found someone interested in removing. The kitchen cabinets,. Five panel doors and breakfront. Slowly things are being dismantled. As the layers are pealed away, the story behind. The house seems to be revealed. Most notably in the wallpaper. So bright and cheery. Chez Tse - Home.

Sunday, January 31, 2010. One more thing I forgot to show. The pad for the pool is being poured this week. This is going to be a very active place when it is done. In his enthusiasm, Bill has invited everyone in the city of White Salmon to swim. I hope we have enough towels! Let There be Light! Okay, This is probably where the blog becomes a little less interesting to some of you. Or perhaps MORE interesting! It is an exciting phase! The plumbing is also almost hooked up inside. This is a photo of the on...
