Monday, July 12, 2010. 23 km of the East Coast Trail. So, on Saturday some friends of ours invited us to go on a hike with them. It is part of the East Coast Trail, which runs for hundreds of kilometers along the coast of Newfoundland, and definitely has some of coolest scenery we have seen so far. Sunday, October 16, 2011. Icebergs, Theatre, and the Skerwink Trail. So, for my birthday this year we took a trip to Trinity and Bonavista, Newfoundland. It was a really nice trip and we got to see some pretty stunning views and meet some great folks. The place we stayed was called the "Eriksen Premises" and was this cute B&B in the middle of town. Thursday, January 31, 2013. We were able to go to Childress the week after Christmas. It was lots of fun. The kids really enjoyed seeing Nana and Papa (and aunts and uncles) and hanging out with their cousins. Brek getting the hang of her new scooter. I'm actually pretty shocked at how good she is at it! Friday, April 26, 2013. A few weekends ago we went camping to Garner State Park. It was so much fun! By chance we got the best camping spot in the park! We were right up against a big hill and it was absolutely gorgeous. We had so much fun playing on the playground, exploring, roasting hot dogs and marshmallows, telling stories around the "campfire" (due to the dry conditions we could only have a fire to cook), seeing deer and turkey, and fishing. I recently obtained my first opportunity to make my dream real by participating in the re-enactment of the Battle of San Jacinto. Tuesday, April 1, 2014. Of course we couldn't get too far into December without making our annual FHE Christmas cookies! The kids love making sugar cookies! Here is Brek having fun! Brek's school had a Christmas concert. Every grade got to come up and sing a couple of songs. The kindergarten classes got to wear pajamas for their songs. Brek was being pretty shy, but finally started singing at the end! For Christmas we were able to go to Utah to see Grandma and Grandpa this year! Brek eating the snow.

Thursday, May 9, 2013. Fun in the Sun. It's summer time in South Texas! The kids have really been enjoying their new kiddie pool. We did smores one day outside (that's what's all over Tyce). Thursday, November 14, 2013. Sabinal finished the season as District Champions! And might I mention.not a single district team scored a single point on us! We are so excited for playoffs now! Oct 18 (W by forfeit against Medina). My parents were able to come down for the district championship game against D'Hanis (Cary Shane and Diana also made it over after a trip to San Antonio). Monday, October 7, 2013. Football season is going great! Brock has been very busy and we miss him, but things are going good and he is really enjoying the year so far.
