Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. March 4, 2016. For a long time there was a common misconception that I didn’t like coffee: I don’t drink coffee every morning, I don’t own a coffee maker and my hot beverage of choice is tea. Latte from Buds Coffee Bar. Latte from Sorry Coffee Co. Flat White from Early Bird Espresso and Brew Bar. Americano from Portland Variety. Latte and cranberry scone from I Deal Coffee. My love for coffee began with my love of brunch. I switched from orange juic...

sweet: framboise!
http://sweetgoodstuff.blogspot.com/2010/07/raspberry-rose-wine-triffles.html
Good stuff to eat. My parents were over last night and I think we opened too many bottles of wine. This morning I was a bit perplexed when I found 2 half full bottles of rose in the fridge. One was a fine Ontario find, Huff Estates Rose, 2006. GO ONTARIO! I used it up to make a jelly, and stuffed it all into jars along with some very ripe raspberries, vanilla chiffon cake scraps, and whipped cream. I think I need to find a large trifle dish. 250 ml rose wine (please, not vineyard mist). 125 gr. sugar.

sweet: Good things grow in Ontario
http://sweetgoodstuff.blogspot.com/2010/08/good-things-grow-in-ontario.html
Good stuff to eat. Good things grow in Ontario. My mom made these tarts with vegan spelt crusts with the awesome fruits that she gets from the menonites at the Guelph farmers market. These berries grew in our very own backyard. My boss picked these chanterelles and lobster mushrooms in the wild, right outside of toronto! We also got that funny courgette from the Kawartha farmers. Oh god I love summer! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Alice eats a cupcake.

Next up, Beets. | A How-to Guide For Vegetable Haters.

A How-to Guide For Vegetable Haters. Learning to love the vegetables you thought you hated the most. Next up, Beets. Beets are not so commonly hated as Brussels sprouts, but I know they’re not a favourite for most people. Beets are hard and come with a skin on them. They also have a root that sprouts leafy greens (this is called chard). Beneath this rough exterior however, beets exhibit a beautiful purple-red colour. Furthermore, upon cooking beets become extremely soft and tender. A word of caution:.

Recently… A Dinner Party. September 4, 2012. On Sunday, I had a couple of friends over for a little dinner party! In the spirit of trying new things with my blog, here’s a little instagraphic of the meal–the main course of which did not make it onto Instagram since we were so excited about diving in! I made Joy the Baker’s tomato cobbler with blue cheese biscuits. It was so good! The perfect end of summer meal. (Can you believe it’s September! And then, even though I had made browned butter cupcakes.

Laura's Resto Diary: March 2010

For me to keep track of the places I want to try, the good stuff I have tried, and the not so much. * All restaurants are in Toronto, Canada, unless otherwise stated in tags*. Boom and Breakfast Co. My new favourite Breakfast place. It's comparable with Cora's, but with a local flavour. We went to the College location. It's a small place, and when we got there at 1pm and there was a line up. But only about a 10 min wait. The fries were amazing! This place looks so yummy. Benny BOOM . $10.49. Let me say f...
