March 21, 2011 14 Comments. It seems as though everyone’s so hooked on this new trend of macarons that no one really takes the time to talk about left over yolks. But guys, it’s a serious issue! I hate to admit this, but I’ve probably thrown away more than a dozen yolks in my macaron mis-adventures. Probably even more because of these little buggers. It’s not like I don’t want to use those yolks, I really do! But what can I do with them? Like an ungrateful brat. Yogurt bottles I’d saved, so to up t...

NOMz: Cinnamon Rolls
http://tastynomz.blogspot.com/2011/07/cinnamon-rolls.html
Thursday, July 28, 2011. Lately, there's been certain things on my mind that have been frustrating and slightly irritating (for being frustrating). Often, when things like this come up, I like to amuse myself with other distractions that usually prove therapeutic and stress-relieving. In other news, my dad has hinted that he may POSSIBLY MAYBE HOPEFULLY buy me a DSLR? I WOULD BE FOREVER INDEBTED), so I need to start thinking of the type/model I would want IF such a wondrous event should occur. I guess mo...

NOMz: August 2011
http://tastynomz.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 15, 2011. So I actually made this quite a while ago, but I've been putting it off until now. I know, I'm terrible, but I've been distracted with other things, and I've spent a good amount of time fixing up my blog ever since the disastrous loss of 80% of my pictures. Adapted from Rasa Malaysia. 1 boneless skinless chicken breast, chopped into bite-sized pieces. 1/2 cup cashews, roasted. 1 zucchini, cut into bite-sized pieces. 1 knob ginger, cut into slices. 1/4 cup onion, diced. Here I am,...

NOMz: April 2010
http://tastynomz.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 4, 2010. Shanghai 2010 - Lujiazui and BaBaoBan. Today, we went to Lujiazui (downtown Pudong) before stopping at BaBaoBan for lunch - an incredibly fiery mouth-numbing Sichuan meal. Things havent changed much since the last time I went there, but then again that was only 2 years ago. Shanghai 2010: Chongming Island and Hairy Crab stirfried with Rice Cake. China 2010: Rushan Road Wet Market. China 2010: Shanghai Carrefour Bakery. Its spread around the world and is pretty much what it sounds l...

NOMz: May 2011
http://tastynomz.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 29, 2011. Sesame Scallion Bread (Zhi Ma Da Bing). I always try to tell myself never to regret the things Ive done or havent done in the past. It is the experiences that make us who we are, not our age, not our mentalities or principles. God made us to be imperfect; the most we can ever hope to do is fumble our way in the dark and hope that we make more rights than we do wrongs. . And one thing I do know is that at the end of the day, everyone will be ok. . Sunday, May 1, 2011. Do What I Like.

NOMz: Emotional Attachment
http://tastynomz.blogspot.com/2011/07/emotional-attachment.html
Tuesday, July 26, 2011. I've been thinking of making green tea ice cream for the recent heat wave, but I never realized how freaking expensive matcha powder is. Anyone want to help me out? I'll pay you back and more in delicious edibles! All the time, I feel like I’m always drowsy and out of sorts, and no matter how much I nap or rest or bum around, that constant fatigue just never goes away. Why couldn’t we just be programmed like the rest of the animal kingdom to procreate and survive? Taiwanese Beef N...

NOMz: Stuffed Cuttlefish (my way??)
http://tastynomz.blogspot.com/2011/08/stuffed-cuttlefish-my-way.html
Friday, August 5, 2011. Stuffed Cuttlefish (my way? Our internet has been pretty sketchy lately. Actually, that's a serious understatement - it sucks. It's technically our fault because we are trying to share with the next door neighbors (we agreed to split the cost originally), but the signal just isn't quite reaching our end well enough. It's bad enough to really make me want to scream sometimes.most of the time. I actually had a little bit of dumpling/wonton filling left over from the last time I made...
