The Franklin Junior Sabers finished pool play with a 1-6 record after a 9-4 loss to the River Parishes Diamond Dawgs of Louisiana Wednesday morning. The building is spectacular! There are three floors filled with baseball history. Some of the highlights included visiting the Babe Ruth Room, Curt Schilling's bloody sock (very cool! Monday, May 28, 2007. Season Opens at Germantown Tournament. We opened the 2007 season at the Germantown Diamond Club Memorial Day Classic. Although we went 0-3, the team played well as we made the adjustment to a bigger diamond. Leadoffs were new to us too, but we made great improvement from our first game on Saturday morning to our final game Sunday afternoon. We played the Wisconsin Rockhounds, who are also going to Cooperstown, Glendale Storm, and Whitnall Falcons. The members of the team include:.

Sunday, July 1, 2007. Franklin Junior Sabers Fall 24-1 to Cherokee (Ga.) Reds. Well, the weather may have been chilly, but the Cherokee (ga.) Reds were hot in our second game at Cooperstown Dreams Park. Mikey Coakley made several fine throws from left field and maintained the hottest bat on the Sabers with a blast to the right center field wall. Andy Matuszak turned in a great fielding play while pitching and threw out a batter at first. Nick Pescheck made a fine throw from third base to gun down a batter.
