The Tennessee Times: December 2011
http://jonestribe7.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
What did I do in 2011? I obviously didn't get around to blogging in 2011. Here is why:. In March we traveled as a family to Portland Oregon for my brother Varon's wedding. We traveled from Portland to Moses Lake WA to visit my parents. Then we drove back to Portland for the wedding. Then down to the bottom of Oregon for the reception and back to Portland. We had a great time being with family, the only draw back was that we all took turns being sick. It wasn't pretty! I arrived home just in time for Stak...

He has enjoyed going to Young Mens, mutual, firesides, and the Priesthood session of General Conference. This month we are planning a trip over Fall Break to attend the temple so that he can do baptisms. I am really proud of him. He has been working really hard on a few goals. The first one is in scouting. He just received his life scout rank. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

It was a play and Clayton was a sheep. The primary children did the play. I can't believe I only have one child left in Primary! Actually that isn't true, Breanne just accepted a calling to teach Sunbeams and Kjirsten will be our chorister again when she gets home. TaraLyn has had a Christmas Cello concert with her private lesson group and one with the school orchestra. She also went with a smaller group to play at the tree lighting ceremony at the Children's hospital. Christmas is now over and I never f...

Venice Italy 2008 during Carnival: Switzerland
http://welcomeandlisa.blogspot.com/2010/07/switzerland.html
Venice Italy 2008 during Carnival. Monday, July 19, 2010. Our short visit to Switzerland. The next morning we were hoping to get up to the alps. Unfortunately there was a low cloud cover so the boys didn't get to see the majesty of the alps. However, the scenery was extremely beautiful and since they didn't know what they missed, it didn't bother them. We enjoyed the day of sight seeing and driving back to Stuttgart Germany to catch the train and get back to Paris. I was born in Stuttgart!

wild huckleberries: Kaija, Our Little Live Wire
http://wildhuckleberries.blogspot.com/2009/06/kaija-our-little-live-wire.html
Tuesday, June 16, 2009. Kaija, Our Little Live Wire. Sunday afternoons are some of the most peaceful times around the Young house. After lunch, EVERYONE takes a nap. It's just accepted that it will be quiet. Sometimes, we get a few minutes, and on those special days, we get a couple hours. Well, we may need to learn to enjoy those longer naps days a little less, it seems. My little Kaija, after having such a good sleep during the midday, does not appear to be ready for sleep when bedtime rolls around.

Saturday, August 9, 2008. The Beauty of a Car Camp. I've decided there isn't much more life can offer than the glow of the dying embers of a campfire in its last throes. I love camping. I don't know what it is, whether its the escape from the humdrum and boiling life down to its necessities, or playing make-believe of times when life was simpler, but camping just relaxes me. It freaked the kids out a little, particularly Kaija! These were HUGE elk, whose LEGS were nearly as tall as our van! The kids real...
