Timing Fixtures Page 2. Shift Rod Bushing Remover. Replace O-ring, stand connector on end and drop the parts in. Use a hammer to tap them in. Done. Use a hammer to tap the bushing and stuff out of the connector body. It will catch the parts so you don't have to crawl around on the floor looking for them. Place fuel connector on fixture and eye-ball align it with the cavities. Insert driver pin into hose nipple. To Use, remove the driver pin from the stowage slot and run the screw down below the surface.

You say your bushing is installed from the bottom and you can't reach it with a tap? Use a 1/4" Drive socket extension to extend it out far enough to reach. Bushing removed. If it is not too worn and you did not run the tap in too far, you might be able to re-use it. But you really ought to install a new one. You decide. Insert a 1/4" or smaller rod into other end of bushing, against the bolt you just screwed in. Use a hammer to tap the bolt and bushing out. SHIFT ROD BUSHING REMOVER.

Timing Fixtures Page 2. Shift Rod Bushing Remover. Test Meter or Light:. Almost any method of testing continuity will work, from a simple test light to a digital multimeter. The best way is with an analog multimeter capable of accurately measuring resistances of less than one ohm. But as I said, any other method will work. Meter shown in the picture is not included with the timing fixture. Note that it is the time. Of the breaker points opening that is important, not the distance that they open.
