Been dazed and confused for so long it's not true. Monday, September 28, 2009. See, Lot did mess up pretty bad - he offered to let the men of Sodom rape both his daughters for starters! Yet God never turned his back on him. In fact God's angels physically drag him out of harms way and later rescue him and his family from the destruction of Sodom. The apostle Peter even goes on to call Lot righteous. That's a curious response if you only see Lot as a sinner who's made mistake after mistake.

I’ve heard ministers at church say that Phileo is fellowship or friendship love. Eros is passionate romantic love. Agape is commitment love, and Gods love for us. (I could have gotten that wrong). If we love God, and agape God, why can’t we eros God? I found it beneficial to ask Him. Why oh why oh why oh why oh why oh why oh why no no no no no no no no no no.

When its stretched outside of you, then it means something, then its Love – and the further its stretched the bigger the love. God doesn’t simply have an actless thought for us, He has real Love. Love in a sunset, love in nature at every scale, love from the cross – expressing exactly his love: “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing”. But what about us loving back?
