Life…it's messy. The Epidemic of Victim Shaming. October 12, 2016. Why is there this double standard in our culture? There is a pie chart that breaks down the causes of rape. It lists the possibilities as, short skirts, alcohol, flirty behavior, tight dresses, walking alone and rapists. The circle was one color: a solid blue for rapists. Life What of the effect this had on his victim’s life? Can you imagine how she will struggle with feelings of safety and self-worth after those mere twenty minutes?
