Sunday, July 11, 2010. Why does forty seem so old? Not sure, but I do distinctly remembering having a discussion when I was in junior high about turning thirty in the year 2000. Of course, this conversation started after hearing the song "1999" by Prince. We all scrunched up our noses as we thought, "Wow! We are going to be ancient by 2000." I have to admit that when I left out today with four other ladies headed to Birmingham, I thought we had little to no chance of actually meeting Beth Moore at her book signing in Fultondale. I wanted to meet her, but I assumed so did about 3000 other ladies in the greater Birmingham area. God has used Beth in such a mighty way and she is truly an inspiration! I hope that I get to meet her again to tell her the impact she has had on my life. She is truly an amazing lady!

Thursday, May 27, 2010. This is the last week of school, so that means it is time for award ceremonies at school. On Tuesday, we attended Logan's program and today, we attended Lindsey's program. Logan earned an AB Honor Roll ribbon and a Blue Eagle AR ribbon. Logan had a speaking part in the program. He did a great job! Mrs Hindman and Logan. Wedding Bells and Fairytales. Thursday, July 29, 2010. On Memorial Day, my mommy, daddy, and I took a trip to Atlanta to see the Atlanta Braves play the Philadelphia Phillies. It was a day game and oh my word it was hot! We had great seats! Right behind the Braves dugout! When Amber was alive, she loved the Braves so we went to games several times a year. This was our first game without her sitting with us. She was definitely there in Spirit though! I think she protected us from getting hit by foul balls!

Wedding Bells and Fairytales. Saturday, September 26, 2009. Going to the Chapel. Who knew choosing a wedding date could be so complicated? A date and florist! The next order of business was to find a location to get married. I have lived in Birmingham for the past 10 years, so naturally I wanted to get married there. I have attended a fabulous church (Church of the Highlands) for the past 4 years. Unfortunately, my church does not have a chapel for weddings. What's a girl to do? I was obviously wrong!

Wedding Bells and Fairytales. Monday, November 15, 2010. To be perfectly honest I am not a cook and have never really cared anything about cooking. Most people are surprised to learn that I can barely boil water! This is even more tragic considering the wonderful role model I grew up with. My mom can make something out of nothing in the blink of an eye AND it will taste like the best thing you ever put in your mouth. Not me though. Sorry mommy!
