Laytonology: Marnie's First Report
http://myrnalayton.blogspot.com/2014/01/marnies-first-report.html
Monday, January 13, 2014. Marnie was still five years old when she started school. There was no kindergarten class for her; she went straight to Grade One. Her teacher was Mrs. Ellensburg. Mrs. Ellensburg was old. She had gray hair and wore glasses. She could sometimes be mean, but most of the time was nice. Marnie did not mind staying home because she could lay in bed or on the couch and read lots of books! Mrs Ellensburg announced that all the children would be writing a report. The report was abou...

Laytonology: January 2015
http://myrnalayton.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 30, 2015. My third cousin once removed, Noel, posted some pictures on Facebook today of her great-grandmother, the one that I knew is related to me because she is a Holdaway. Noel was in my ward in North Orem, and we discovered our relationship thanks to one of Nancy's Hancock Hummer articles, the one about our Mayflower ancestors. David happened to mention that story in elder's quorum one day, and Noel's husband was like, "Hey that is my wife's family, too! It hardly seems possible!

Laytonology: February 2015
http://myrnalayton.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 22, 2015. Our home teacher, George, is about 85 years old, give or take a year. He is a quiet and humble man, but when he tells a story, it is a good idea to listen, because it is going to be good. So he got on the horse and rode around some, further out, but no sign of the cow. So, sitting on the horse, again he prayed, "Heavenly Father, thank you for the horse. But now, I don't know where to look for the cow. Can you help me with that? I would not want to have to clean that up! This is...

Laytonology: Another Family Gathering
http://myrnalayton.blogspot.com/2015/08/another-family-gathering.html
Sunday, August 2, 2015. Michelle with Rachael, me trying to get Leon to look at the camera, Alice giving Michael big hugs, and Matthew actually looking at the camera- Michael's friend Jamie was taking the picture. Matthew, Alice and I taking selfies while waiting for their mom. Since I am not good at selfies, the result is about what you would expect. I wanted to get a good picture of Michael and Alice, but I missed the best shot and ended up with something very blurry! Josie takes a turn juggling Leon.

Laytonology: November 2014
http://myrnalayton.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 28, 2014. So, viola congress. I love the moist sea-level air! I love the beauty and the cobblestone, and the feeling of being in a place with a long history. I am staying at the seminario, the Catholic seminary, and our congress events take place in a monastery! That serves the upper levels. I am just pleased with myself for being quite comfortable about finding my way around, and walking to and from the monastery, even in the dark. It is a lovely city. Saturday, November 8, 2014. Just f...

Laytonology: Marnie and the Bully (part two)
http://myrnalayton.blogspot.com/2014/02/marnie-and-bully-part-two.html
Saturday, February 15, 2014. Marnie and the Bully (part two). On the way home that night, almost everyone on the bus asked Marnie about her head. That big white bandage wrapped around like a turban drew lots of attention. When Marnie, Arwen, Collette and Brian got off the bus and started down the driveway, they could see Mommy looking out the kitchen window, an anxious look on her face. She met them at the door. “Marnie! 8221; she fussed, “Nurse Gamble phoned about your head. What happened? She did not e...

The good, the great, and the wonderful!: July 2015
http://jesshobbs7.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
The good, the great, and the wonderful! Tuesday, July 7, 2015. Forever is a long time and I wouldnt mind spending it by your side. Hiking: sweat, heavy breathing, dirt, bugs, wild animals, scratchy plants, branches in your face, sunburns.worth it? I have never loved hiking. I am too much of a get it done person, and not enough of a stop and smell the roses person. Hiking while not taking your time just leaves you out of breath and sweaty. That is no fun! Every time I do go hiking the people on the trails...
