Ryan, Aubrey, Aiden, Oliver: Carmencita
http://ryanaubreyfamily.blogspot.com/2013/08/carmencita.html
Tuesday, August 6, 2013. At the young age of 22, singing for opera directors was far more intimidating. Now, it is just what I do, but it is far more rewarding, and I have the skills to prepare for them. The feedback I received was wonderful. When the audition was over, the party commenced: at the science museum, Zoo, and aquarium. Lynn McMillan is one of my favorite people, we had so much fun, and the sloth bear is a must see! August 6, 2013 at 8:41 PM. What an amazing opportunity!

Sunday, August 5, 2012. In the Spring of 2012, both Oliver and Aiden decided they wanted to sign up for soccer. To say that it was so much fun would be an understatement. Four days a week we got out of the house and went to practices or games. We all went. It was a package deal. Here are some photos of the season. Aiden trying to steel the ball from the blue team with a backward kick. Aiden intervening and getting the ball. Aiden right in the center of the action driving the ball home.

Ryan, Aubrey, Aiden, Oliver: Optimism and the power of the present: being conscious.
http://ryanaubreyfamily.blogspot.com/2013/05/optimism-and-power-of-present-being.html
Tuesday, May 14, 2013. Optimism and the power of the present: being conscious. This year I was selected as one of 12 national finalists in a very competitive competition. The competition was in Portland Oregon. Without hesitation, I agreed to compete, and decided to make a family vacation out of it. So while I sang for my future, my family went to the zoo. A mere optimist fails to have the information and facts, and a realist becomes depressed! Should I have imagined it happening over and over for months?

Ryan, Aubrey, Aiden, Oliver: "Joy" and the epic Kindergarten Graduation
http://ryanaubreyfamily.blogspot.com/2013/07/joy-and-epic-kindergarten-graduation.html
Sunday, July 14, 2013. Joy" and the epic Kindergarten Graduation. Oliver graduated from Kindergarten this year! Kindergarten had some turbulent moments for Oliver, but he has proven to be a person of character and strength. To love others even in adversity, to work hard at something that frustrates him, and most important, he loves his creator. If you have a conversation with Oliver, it is very clear that he is an old soul and very smart. I can't wait for him to enjoy first grade! You ARE a peacemaker, A...

Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Surprisingly, I have those moments often. Today, I had the recollection, yet again, of that moment, when real motherhood set in. When the recovery time was over and it was time to take care of me, and be a mom. Some people make it look effortless. I feel like a sinking ship, often. I keep about my day, by being absolutely present, at whatever I am doing. When I am present, I don't really feel like I am succeeding at all. I still don't have the answer of why I do so many things&...

Ryan, Aubrey, Aiden, Oliver: Easter 2013
http://ryanaubreyfamily.blogspot.com/2013/07/easter-2013.html
Sunday, July 14, 2013. The Easter bunny had hid eggs and Granny and Grandpa McMillan's. We celebrated with a beautiful Easter meal, and I made a traditional braided Easter bread. IT was so delicious. Definitely going to the top of my "New TRADITIONS" list! I recently decided to start creating traditions of my own. Not only was the bread delicious, it was so beautiful to look at. Here is the recipe if you would like to try it out! Http:/ www.bonappetit.com/recipes/2012/04/easter-bread.

VIBRATIONS inc.: August 2013
http://vibrationscouture.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Where we bitch about other people. Saturday, August 31, 2013. 79 in praise of: anna moffo. Happy Independence Day, Peninsular Malaysia (because Malaysia didn't achieve total independence until Malaysia Day and I'm bitter like that, heh)! This is going to be the first in a series of few posts which will be unashamedly about diva-worship. Other opera fans who are claiming to be above such things can go fuck themselves. The young Anna Moffo circa 1956-59,. Before the rhinoplasty and (glorious) weaves. I sou...

VIBRATIONS inc.: #76 mawarku - 2by2 and siti nurhaliza
http://vibrationscouture.blogspot.com/2013/04/76-mawarku-2by2-and-siti-nurhaliza.html
Where we bitch about other people. Tuesday, April 9, 2013. 76 mawarku - 2by2 and siti nurhaliza. Perhaps the first time I noticed the Siti Nurhaliza instrument was when she sang Mawarku with the boyband 2by2. Looking back, I chuckled at the sheer campiness of the whole thing: the hair parted in the middle, the shuwa-shuwawa voicing, the MIDI oboe. I did remember holding a candle for the male vocalist - ah, youth. With a staccato mezza-voce on the word kau. It's like comparing diamonds to silt. Of course ...
