February 15, 2005. Noah Sheffler born 7 Feb 1844. Noah Sheffler was a Shoemaker, and moved to Allegheny City, Allegheny County sometime between 1870 and 1880, where he shows up with a wife, daughter and 2 sons. Later those three grown children all show up in Lawrence County together. I can not find Noah or his wife anywhere after the 1880 census, however. He had applied for a pension himself in 1869 but no application was made upon his death. Posted by Don Sheffler at 8:52 PM. BACK to Frederick Sheffler.

George Sheffler 1779 Pennsylvania. January 18, 2005. George Sheffler, for starters. George was born around 1779, based on his estimated ages culled from each census year in which he shows up. I say estimated because he and his offspring were pretty loose with the numbers. Pick a year, any year. So we've settled on calling him George 1779. "We", meaning "I", have chosen this date. John (Johannes) - His line is mostly found in New Alexandria and Indiana County. Frederick (Friederich) - Also stayed around G...
