Wednesday, January 29, 2014. Sagaan Sar Opening Events! Today was planned for foreigners to attend a get- to-know Sagaan Sar event. It started with a demonstration of how to make byyz, traditional clothes to wear, vendors selling Mongolian crafts and art, contortionists, a large childrens group performing traditional songs and dance, slide show and displays. Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Hong Kong Trip May 2014. We had the privilege of escorting 18 Mongolian members to the temple in Hong Kong. All but one were there for the first time. Thursday, November 20, 2014. Assembling a GER in -10 degrees F! Wish you were here! This is a family we told you about earlier. The father needed to get his taxi license renewed, but because he could not afford it, the fines grew. He would drive his taxi without a license so he could provide for his family, but was stopped several times by the police and ticketed. It was COLD. This Blog is about building our new home on Whidbey Island. Our designer and builder is Brad Hankins, doing business as Design Build Brad. This small 870 sq. ft. home is made up of three buildings and incorporates sustainable building practices, including solar hot water collectors, roof water collection system and native plant restoration.
