Saturday, February 18, 2006. Not exactly. I'd just let this post slide for a few days due to other responibilities. I've not been in Kennewick all that long, just over a year, but it seems a very odd winter to me. Last year it snowed several times, and was sub freezing for at least 3 weeks. This year we had 50 and 60F. temps for most of January (I'm not complaining! And now, it's quite cold. The icicles are still there, and now the ponds down the street are freezing over again. Snow was expected but ...

Tuesday, March 14, 2006. I can't speak to sons and daughters, but 2 sons 2 years apart.trust me, there's a lot to talk about. My youngest came home on leave for a few days, and it was heaven - for me. He's become a fine young man. Unfortunately, it's unlikely he'll move this direction when he gets out of the Army, as it's a small, fairly rural community. Who can blame him? There's not a lot for a young man to do here, seemingly. The youngest let it be known he wasn't wild about the cold, and the wind.

Friday, January 20, 2006. Lessons Learned In San Francisco. Just last week at this time, I was boarding the jet to San Francisco.a lifetime ago, it seems. Traveling to my first seminar, it was difficult to keep my apprehension down. I'd never met any of the people that would be attending, I only knew them from a forum for copywriters. So, I mailed Harlan and meekly asked if he would be coaching students again. His reply."Follow the bouncing ball.". I've heard of obtuse people before, but. It was a trip o...

Saturday, January 28, 2006. Just after moving to Kennewick, my business partner Josh and I decided to open an art gallery. The Bad Art Gallery was well received here, and we've had a lot of fun with it. But it's time to move on. We'll still keep the large format printer and continue that part of the business. We started this venture primarily as a store front for the printing business. To help with the rent we decided to rent wall space to artists who needed a venue to display and sell their art. Most of...

Monday, July 31, 2006. Home Grown Terrorist In Kennewick. Well ain't that just dandy? Kennewick is now on the map. Not for it's accomplishments, not for the fact that Welch's Grape Juice started here, not for the fact that it's a beautiful part of the country.oh no.it's because this murderous freak Haj shaved his head and body hair, preparing for Jihad, drove to Seattle, and forced his way into the Jewish Federation building, hiding behind a teenage girl. I'm damned sick and tired of these jihadweenies.

Wednesday, September 27, 2006. When Will the Next 9/11 Attack Happen? It's an unanswerable question. It's unimaginable- but so was the 9/11 attack on our country. The big question is what you can do about it. We can't all join the armed forces, we can't all join the intelligence community, we can't all become FBI or CIA agents. Jack Bauer isn't real (damnit! I'd really love to have him as my best friend). Here's what you can. Do Here's what you must. STOP being politically correct. Learn what to expect.

Monday, February 20, 2006. My oldest son is back from an extended absense (see Prodigal Son) and is madly trying to find work. Then again so is everyone else and their brothers/cousins/siblings. It's difficult for him but I'm sure he'll find something soon. What's unusual is how his attitude toward people has changed. Perhaps it's maturity, or perhaps it's the new location. So far, in the last three weeks, he's had not one complaint about the people in this area. Posted by KennewickMusing at 6:49 PM.

Saturday, April 29, 2006. Haven't had much to say about good ol' Kennewick lately, it's been a busy time of year. Just returned from seeing United 99. Every American should see this movie. Half the country's fallen asleep, half of the remainder are so hung up on fools and idiots like Brittney Spears, Ted Kennedy, et al. that they've forgotten what true human heros really are. What should be changed is this stanza: The Land of the Free, and Home Of the Brave, should say. THE LAND OF THE FREE.
