Diary of a reluctant allergy sufferer: Kill or cure!
http://allergy-diary.blogspot.com/2013/01/kill-or-curre.html
Diary of a reluctant allergy sufferer. How the British National Health Service deals with allergy. Wednesday, January 16, 2013. Sometimes silence here simply means I haven't got a clue what the h. is happening. So I thought I shook off my cold in December by drinking redbush tea. And I kept to my resolution not to drink wine over Christmas. Quite a lot of whisky was consumed. Nevertheless I am beginning to think the problem is a lingering virus, maybe even . flu. In fact I am feeling quite run do...When ...

Diary of a reluctant allergy sufferer: The omega syndrome
http://allergy-diary.blogspot.com/2007/12/omega-syndrome.html
Diary of a reluctant allergy sufferer. How the British National Health Service deals with allergy. Saturday, December 08, 2007. I've been trying to make sense of all the new information that has emerged from the discovery of Samter's Triad. If Wikipedia and one or two other articles are to be believed, this is quite a well researched condition. The following is an entirely unscientific account of the situation pieced together in my head over the last 24 hours:. So the worst thing possible would be a diet...

Diary of a reluctant allergy sufferer: Hypo-allergenic shampoo
http://allergy-diary.blogspot.com/2008/09/hypo-allergenic-shampoo.html
Diary of a reluctant allergy sufferer. How the British National Health Service deals with allergy. Wednesday, September 17, 2008. A few weeks ago I stayed with somebody who had a bottle of "hypo-allergenic" shampoo. The bottle was plain, suggesting it was sold by a pharmacist. I tried it and it seemed to work. That would be great as I've been doing without shampoo for some time. I've continued to use the Tesco wheatgerm and corn conditioner, so it's not been obvious. January 15, 2010 at 6:05 PM. When I s...

Diary of a reluctant allergy sufferer: Sake
http://allergy-diary.blogspot.com/2015/01/sake.html
Diary of a reluctant allergy sufferer. How the British National Health Service deals with allergy. Monday, January 12, 2015. Somebody introduced a bottle of Sake into the house as a Christmas present - that's what's often called Japanese rice-wine. It's never appeared on any lists so I thought I would check out the ingredients. It's fermented rice - so basically rice except that a special yeast is used for fermentation. Diary of a reluctant allergy sufferer: Salicylate free eating
http://allergy-diary.blogspot.com/2009/09/salicylate-free-eating.html
Diary of a reluctant allergy sufferer. How the British National Health Service deals with allergy. Thursday, September 10, 2009. A few months ago I promised to list here all the salicylate free meals I have devised and reported. Here they are, just half a dozen, so far, along with the guidance I have drawn up for caterers and friends. I have kind people who attempt more ambitious meals for me, such as fish pies and pizzas. You always have to check they don't accidentally sprinkle pepper on the food.

Diary of a reluctant allergy sufferer: Jack Daniels
http://allergy-diary.blogspot.com/2007/10/jack-daniels.html
Diary of a reluctant allergy sufferer. How the British National Health Service deals with allergy. Wednesday, October 24, 2007. According to my list. Whisky, gin and vodka are the only alcoholic drinks I can take. I liked whisky but have been bothered for some time it doesn't seem to do me any good. I'm used to drinking Scotch whisky, preferably Glenmorangie or some such, and last Christmas everybody gave me bottles of it. November 13, 2012 at 7:20 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Diary of a reluctant allergy sufferer: Peppers and tomatoes
http://allergy-diary.blogspot.com/2013/05/peppers-and-tomatoes.html
Diary of a reluctant allergy sufferer. How the British National Health Service deals with allergy. Friday, May 10, 2013. I've got a feeling this piece of research. Into Parkinson's and tomatoes and peppers may miss the point. Let me declare an interest - a close relative has just died from Parkinson's; and then a second interest, a very personal one. There has been evidence in the past linking Parkinson's to a history of allergic conditions. I'm a little worried. This piece of research may be what's know...

Diary of a reluctant allergy sufferer: Toothpaste free
http://allergy-diary.blogspot.com/2006/10/toothpaste-free.html
Diary of a reluctant allergy sufferer. How the British National Health Service deals with allergy. Sunday, October 08, 2006. Well 24 hours after giving up toothpaste I'm feeling a great deal better, in spite even of going out to lunch today. It could be the impact also of taking three anti-histamines yesterday - right up to the doctor's limit. But I have taken none today. I wouldn't like anybody to believe allergy is the main cause of gum disease - but it never seems to be mentioned as a possible cause.

Diary of a reluctant allergy sufferer: Pomegranates
http://allergy-diary.blogspot.com/2007/01/pomegranates.html
Diary of a reluctant allergy sufferer. How the British National Health Service deals with allergy. Sunday, January 14, 2007. The story makes even less sense when you eat a pomegranate and see how many seeds it has. I bought two from Sainsbury's last week. They were much larger than normally sold in Britain and when I sliced one it bled, blood red. I ate half and that was probably too much. September 10, 2008 at 12:28 PM. Searching online, I have so far found only one reported case of pomegranate allergy,...
