Out of the Ordinary. Stick your finger into the ordinary dust of your every day and discover extraordinary experiences and insights. Sunday, May 25, 2008. Go South, Young Man! Southor east. Far East, perhaps. About a month ago I had an epiphany: I could sell everything and move to Mexico or Thailand. And Thailand looks at least as good, maybe better with it's incredible beaches, fascinating jungles, Eastern culture plus all the unknowns since I've never been south of Hong Kong in Asia. It's phonetic and ...

Out of the Ordinary. Stick your finger into the ordinary dust of your every day and discover extraordinary experiences and insights. Tuesday, June 26, 2007. Remember what Thumper's mother taught? If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all.". Well FORGET what Momma Thumper said - did you hear what happened to her? It's true, she died in prison. It's not that I don't appreciate their kind words, selfless service, and hot cookies, it's that they COULD HAVE BEEN sooo much more if they...

Out of the Ordinary: October 2009

Out of the Ordinary. Stick your finger into the ordinary dust of your every day and discover extraordinary experiences and insights. Friday, October 30, 2009. I finished the revision of the free Christmas Book. Gone but not Forgotten. Two days ago. The new title is Courage, Love and the Meaning of Christmas. And I must say, it's good! The first version was popular and seemed to keep lots of readers glued to the pages, but the new one is much better and even I'm excited about it. Shaun Roundy, MA, EW, RMT.

Out of the Ordinary. Stick your finger into the ordinary dust of your every day and discover extraordinary experiences and insights. Monday, November 30, 2009. I did it again. I finished revising The Perfect Gift. Three weeks ago, and have since finished the layout and cover and have set everything up for printing. It should get reviewed by the printer tonight or tomorrow and then I'll order my first copies. This is a darn good book! Not to mention the decade-plus of teaching university writing. Nature B...

Out of the Ordinary. Stick your finger into the ordinary dust of your every day and discover extraordinary experiences and insights. Wednesday, August 8, 2007. Times they is a-changing. It seems that a generation ago (or two? Exactly where do generations stop and start, anyway? Work was a necessary evil. You were lucky to bring home a paycheck and breadwinners often endured jobs they hated, living only for the evening paper and weekend BBQs. But it doesn't stop there. 's The Four Hour Workweek. Out of the Ordinary. Stick your finger into the ordinary dust of your every day and discover extraordinary experiences and insights. Thursday, June 26, 2008. Today I decided to believe in love again. I imagine a car swerving down the highway, trying to correct course but spinning further out of control until it hits an embankment and rolls over into the river. Years later, the car is dragged from the river and gets ready for another drive. Shaun Roundy, MA, EW, RMT. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Out of the Ordinary. Stick your finger into the ordinary dust of your every day and discover extraordinary experiences and insights. Monday, September 24, 2007. We drove for miles up and down hills looking for an ATV accident. We drove 65 miles (one way) just to start the search. We found nothing. Apparently the caller's cell phone died before we could get any useful details about their whereabouts. Maybe they got themselves out before we arrived and never bothered to let anyone know. As I sit writing, I...

Out of the Ordinary. Stick your finger into the ordinary dust of your every day and discover extraordinary experiences and insights. Friday, January 25, 2008. You're Not There Till You Forget You Ever Weren't. Life is most challenging not as a result of challenges with money, love, work, play, health and other externalities, but because of challenges we face on the inside of which most people are rarely, if ever, aware. The point is that whatever's inside determines our reality more than physical reality...
