May 31, 2015. Maybe I should be glad that I didn’t get too attached. I think that would make things harder. But I remember on the day I got engaged feeling so UNDERwhelmed. Like, okay cool, this sparkly ring (*cough* that I bought myself *cough* *cough*) is nice. Yeah, he picked a nice place. But really, this is it? All the ingredients for romance were there but I felt nothing. I think I honestly just wanted the attention that comes with being able to say “I’M ENGAGED! Lessons of a failed marriage.
