Freewheelin' South 民恵編. The Munda Biddi Trail-2. どこがいいかと聞かれると答えに詰まるけれど、一緒にいると心地いい相手、 、と いった感じだろうか うーん、違う。 と言ってしまうと、山とは程遠い感じになってしまうけれど、この辺りでは一番の丘陵地帯 それも長 いながい であり、いくつかのかなり挑戦的な体験が待ち受けている。 私 たちは、MBTのスタート地点であるMundaringからの15Kmを回避して、 Pickering Brookという小さな村からトレイルに合流した。 くねくねとうねる幅の狭いトレイルや生い茂る緑に視界が阻まれ数メートル先が見えなくなることも多く、 Gibb River Road. それは主にルートだったり、持ち物だったりするのだけれど、今回は明らかに、長距離の 道ではな く 、トレイルを走るということへの想像力に欠けていた。 特に、ひとり占めできたりしたら完璧 ちなみにこの時期のMBT利用者は少なく もともと込み合うこともなさそうだけれど 他のサ イクリストと一緒になったのはわずか３回。 The munda biddi trail.

Freewheelin' South 民恵編. The gibb river road. それ から、この時期 9月上旬から下旬にかけて を選んだのも良かった。 出発前にいろいろ情報収集していたものの、日本語のサイトでは目ぼしい情報がほんの少 ししかなかった あったけど、ネガティブなものが多い ため、少しでも参考になれば嬉しい。 Kununurra側から始めた場合の道の状態は、全体的に見てMt. Barnettまでの東側 初めの350Km)が特に悪く、この間の平均速度が時速10Km以上になることは、ほぼなかった。 Mt Barnettから100KmほどのImintjiは小規模な品揃えで、価格はべらぼうに高かった コーラ１缶350ml ４ 320円など。 先にも書いたように、私たちは農場主の承諾を得た上で、1週間ごとの食料を２つのステーション Ellenbrae, Mt Barnett に事前に送ったために、こういったところで買うのは喉を潤すソフトドリンクか、ちょっとしたスナック程度だった。 Manning gorge (往復14km) Mt Barnettが管理している。

BroomeではRoebuck Bay 通称 タウンビーチ 沿いのキャンプ場で５泊。 レンタカー会社の都合が加味されるために、 日以内に返却しなければならない、だとか、車種の指定はできない、という制限はあるものの 反対に、はじめから車種が決められている場合もある 、１日 １ ５で借りる事ができるとあり、節約して旅行している私たちには強い味方。 運がよければ 200 500相当のガソリン代や、保険代はレンタカー会社持ちということもある 通常は1日 20程度で任意加入できる。 話が逸れるがオーストラリアのように大きな国では、1台のレンタカーでかなりの長距離を走る利用者が多いため、例えば1000Km以上走った場合は、その後1km走るごとに 30 25円ほど 払わなくてはならないというような決まりがある。 Http:/ www.standbyrelocations.com/.
