Now comes news from Eden's home town newspaper that Savings Bank of Maine intends to continue operations at the Bath Country Club. This follows hard on the heels of the foreclosure on the property by the Bank in April of this year. And so now the Bank is running a golf course? Something is not right about this situation. While returning from a trip up to The County on Friday afternoon, traffic on I-95 South was brought to a full stop because of an impromptu Border Patrol checkpoint that had been set up just North of Orono. I get it that we need the Border Patrol on our borders, and they seem to be doing a good job of protecting our border with Canada even though I have no way of really knowing so for certain.
