Have a Fresh Cup: Tour of the 3:16s - Day 2
http://freshcupministries.blogspot.com/2013/08/tour-of-316s-day-2.html
Thursday, August 1, 2013. Tour of the 3:16s - Day 2. Yesterday's 3:16 was God's judgment on Eve for her part in the introduction of sin into the world. On today's tour we see God's message of concern to His people. He is paying attention to their plight, and he is concerned for them. I love that. Read this passage in context, Exodus Chapter 3. Have a Fresh Cup: Tour of the 3:16s Day 3
http://freshcupministries.blogspot.com/2013/08/tour-of-316s-day-3.html
Thursday, August 1, 2013. Tour of the 3:16s Day 3. Day 3 of our tour of the 3:16s finds us in Leviticus. I particularly loved the last line of this verse.everything that is excess of what is needed, belongs to the Lord.at least that's the way I applied it as I read this morning. What do you think? Leviticus 3:16 - The priest shall offer them up in smoke on the altar as food, an offering by fire for a soothing aroma; all fat is the LORD'S. Read the passage in context - Leviticus Chapter 3.

Have a Fresh Cup
http://freshcupministries.blogspot.com/2013/07/ahh-quiet-time-with-god.html
Monday, July 22, 2013. In reality, I am a multitasker and mornings are not my favorite time of day. I tend to wake up early, but functioning on all cylinders comes much later in the day. My prayer time in the morning goes more like this. That is followed by a fast trip downstairs to the restroom, I'm over 40, some things cannot wait. Minutes later, in the shower, hair full of shampoo, I often pray for my husband. It's important to pray for our husbands daily. Why in the shower? It was the revelation of fr...

Have a Fresh Cup: Day 4 of the tour of the 3:16s (LOVE this one)
http://freshcupministries.blogspot.com/2013/08/day-4-of-tour-of-316-love-this-one.html
Friday, August 2, 2013. Day 4 of the tour of the 3:16s (LOVE this one). This one is really fun. Did you know that Moses was a census taker? Yep, he sure was. In Numbers Chapter 3 we find that God separated out the tribe of Levi from among the Israelites and told Moses to count them. So he did. Further in the chapter we see the whole family breakdown of the Levites. How awesome is God that he would care about CREATING families and keeping an accounting of HIS people for HIS plan. What are your thoughts?

Have a Fresh Cup: Day 6 of the 3:16 Tour...Let the Water's Part!
http://freshcupministries.blogspot.com/2013/08/day-5-of-316-tourlet-waters-part.html
Monday, August 5, 2013. Day 6 of the 3:16 Tour.Let the Water's Part! This might be one of my favorite passages of scripture. God is so faithful to his people and this passage shows his power over all things, AGAIN. You really need to read the whole chapter. God tells Joshua, that just as He was with Moses, He is also with Joshua! I love that, because just as He was with those servants of old, He is with US today. The waters which were. Flowing down from above stood. Flowing down toward the sea of the.

Have a Fresh Cup: When God Moves
http://freshcupministries.blogspot.com/2013/03/when-god-moves.html
Wednesday, March 27, 2013. Do you ever get discouraged praying for your loved ones? It can be so hard to watch them living outside of God's will for our lives, and trying not to overstep, or be preachy or judgmental when we see things they don't even recognize as sin in their lives. If we try to say anything, it is often met with hostility, or hurt feelings. So, what do we do? I know for a fact, if we are praying, God is working. By Robert H. Gwinn. I cast you out in the name of Christ! Now the sound gre...

Beside the Empty Cradle: July 2011
http://besidetheemptycradle.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 26, 2011. Handling comments from new friends. I know this is similar to my post from Mother's Day, but I think this topic is so important. It is one of the most difficult parts of the journey with infertility, it is the issue that makes infertility an unavoidable topic for those in the midst of the journey, and unforgettable for those who have reached the end of the road. We have 4 kids, how many do you have.". We don't have any children.". Eyebrows raise, "Oh, why not.". People want to hel...

Beside the Empty Cradle: September 2011
http://besidetheemptycradle.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 18, 2011. The Other Side of the Coin. So, how do we handle comments that are not intended to hurt, yet bring pain like acid to the surface of our pleasant facade? Remember that most people are not trying to be cruel, they just don't understand the impact of what they are saying. Keep a journal so that you can vent your frustrations and hurt feelings. Give yourself permission to share your pain over infertility and/or childlessness. They can't know if you don't tell them. Pray for yourse...

Beside the Empty Cradle: ARE YOU KIDDING ME???
http://besidetheemptycradle.blogspot.com/2011/09/are-you-kidding-me.html
Wednesday, September 14, 2011. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I do not follow visiting basketball teams to McDonald's and give them my number.". I thought she would laugh, realize what she said, and that would be the end of the discussion, or, maybe we would spend a few moments reminiscing about our silliness, almost 30 years ago. Instead,. She thought I needed further explanation of her comment. It’s comments like this that can bring me to the brink of tears and laughter at the same time. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The a...
