Pooh's place in 100 Aker Wood in Japan. Sharing my experiences while teaching at the Christian Academy in Japan. Sunday, November 1, 2015. Saturday, October 31 gave me the opportunity to go for a walk with Hana. It has been a long time since we were able to walk. Some plants are now bare, but there were still some flowers and birds. The grasses were quite tall, taller than I am. A rototiller was used on this land recently. Busy working the soil with a shovel. I bought these at a vegetable stand. YUM!

Friday, April 8th, was a day I was able to go on a hike with the grade seven teachers and students. We took the train from Higashi Kurume to Koma and began our hike at Hiwada Mountain. Here are a couple of interesting statues by the Koma train station. Having grown up in British Columbia, my first thought was totem pole! We began our nine kilometer hike at the station.

Pooh's place in 100 Aker Wood in Japan. Sharing my experiences while teaching at the Christian Academy in Japan. Thursday, March 31, 2016. Today was a very beautiful, sunshiny day! I couldn't resist going out for a bicycle ride. My approach is to hop on the bicycle and just go until I get to a point where I want to return. Today I ended up going to the Arkawa. There was a golf course along the river. I don't see many golf courses, but a lot of driving ranges. The greens and fairways looked rather dry.
