As a day well spent brings happy sleep, so a life well spent brings happy death. {Leonardo daVinci}. 30 things you may not know about my invisible illness(es)*. September 12, 2014. September 12, 2014. As I pointed out on my other blog, and also on Facebook, I missed the first half of Nat’l Invisible Illness Awareness Week. Why? I was too busy being sick, of course! Oh, the irony (Is it. Alanis Morissette kind of skewed our definition of that, I think.). An invisible illness is just what it sounds like, f...

Shining a light into the fog and shadows caused by surviving with fibromyalgia. May 29, 2014,. The weather has been wet and almost muggy for the last few days, we kept peeling off our clothes because we were hot and then running for our rain coats. It really has been the perfect scenario for chills and bugs to set in. I had an issue of descrimination over both my assistance dog and my disability during the week. A write up of this can be read at my assistance dog blog, Pawsable. June 23, 2014 at 9:26 am.

Still sick? Wtf?! | Honeybee Chickadee

As a day well spent brings happy sleep, so a life well spent brings happy death. {Leonardo daVinci}. September 12, 2014. September 12, 2014. Something interesting that I’m discovering about being chronically ill is that, well, it doesn’t go away. Have a pain management doctor that listens to me, believes in the intensity of my pain, and not only desires to act but actually. A lazy, useless one, that’s what. But I. To be productive, and I. To be better, and I. Is that realistic thinking? They’re sti...

As a day well spent brings happy sleep, so a life well spent brings happy death. {Leonardo daVinci}. November 18, 2014. November 18, 2014. We Press On – Matt Minikus. Sorry for the fact that it’s in another language, but just press the play button and the song plays in English. It is so hard to find an actual recording of this song online without having to buy it through Amazon or iTunes! It’s so beautiful, though, and I’m glad I finally found one for you.). We press on, driven by our dreams for tomorrow.

Living a Life of Essence in Spite of Illness. Just something to ponder. For this month’s theme of Renewal, take a moment and consider what deep and dormant seed within you would like to bring back into bloom? I will speak to myself as I would a child – with pure LOVE. I will move my body every day, for a minimum of 15 minutes, and no more than serves me. I will eat the foods that make my body hum. I will connect to nature everyday and breath in the wisdom of it. I will forgive myself easily and often.

As a day well spent brings happy sleep, so a life well spent brings happy death. {Leonardo daVinci}. August 22, 2014. August 22, 2014. I hope you feel like a welcomed spark to my life, not an inconvenience, annoyance, or bother to my day. I hope you feel comfortable in your skin, not constantly wondering how many things you need to change before you’re loved and celebrated. I hope you feel capable and confident, not incapable of doing something without constant supervision and correction. Mast Cells and ...

As a day well spent brings happy sleep, so a life well spent brings happy death. {Leonardo daVinci}. July 12, 2014. August 10, 2014. I’ve discovered an interesting phenomenon as I make this journey of being ill, yet awesome, and that is this: people appreciate honesty. Must endure and yet not let it reflect on them as a person. Do you understand what I mean? Struggles, at least from time to time. How can that possibly be a reflection of your worth, value, or standing as a human being? Other people have a...
