The following activities are planned:. 12 - 13 November 2016 work party and AGM. 25 - 26 March 2017. The schedule for the next work party is always interesting and varied and subject to last minute changes due to weather conditions. We meet at the Mt Beauty Parks Victoria office at 8.00 to 8.30 am Saturday to co-ordinate activities, then leave for the High Plains. Don't forget to bring your lunch, suitable clothing, footwear and Gloves. If you wish to attend and want more details.

27 - 28 February 2016 Work Party. 27 - 28 February 2016 Work Party. We had mild weather to camp at Buckety Plain. On Sunday we headed off to Ropers Lookout (near the Rocky Valley dam wall). We worked in a couple of smaller bogs and located about 100 willows. Some excellent work was done by the Friends in finding some fully grown willows in a difficult gully. Every year the Victorian Environmental Friends Network. Presents the Best Friends Award to people who have made an outstanding contribution through exceptional devotion as a Friend of a National Park. So far four Friends of Bogong members have received this award:. 1999 - Eddie Kleingeerts. 2010 - Margaret Graham. 2010 - Betty Witt. 2014 - Dawn Kneen. Betty, Eddie and Margaret 26 March 2011. Dawn receives her certificate November 2014.
