The purpose of our Friends Group is to offer support in the areas of conservation, recreational resources, and educational efforts at Breaks Interstate Park, and to assist the park in its endeavors in preservation of our unique landscape. Established by the U.S. Congress in 1954, Breaks Park is one of only two interstate parks in the United States. The 4600-acre park is located on the Kentucky-Virginia border and encompasses areas in both states.
