Restoration, Preservation, Beautification, Advocacy. Friends of Crystal Lake. The mission of the Friends of Crystal Lake is to contribute to the restoration, preservation and beautification of the Crystal Lake landscape and neighborhood. It is also to facilitate the tranquil recreational use of the Crystal Lake Coves and the active recreational use of the Crystal Lake beach facilities. City of Newton (external link).

Restoration, Preservation, Beautification, Advocacy. Friends of Crystal Lake. Walking, strolling and jogging around the Lake are possible along sidewalks and through the Coves and the new Crystal Lake Park in all seasons of the year. Fee-based public swimming is permitted at the Crystal Lake Park on designated dates in June, July and August. For exact dates, call Parks and Recreation at 617 796-1500. At these times, changing and restrooms are available, life guards are on duty and the aqualator.

Clean-up of trash and debris from parkland and water. Summer and Spring care of lawn, path, plants and trees. Snow plowing continuous path through winter. Removal of leaves in fall. Promotion of Safety, Land and Water Ecology. Information brochure and TAB articles. Advocacy for enforcement of regulations.

Boat unloading, launching and loading are allowed only from the designated area at Cronin Cove. Dogs must be leashed at all times and dog owners are required to remove dog waste.
